Hey guys. I have been out of the loop lately due to work. But i wanted to take my girlfriend fishing and im stumped on where to go. I heard the cats were biting at the Atchafalaya river. But i would like to catch some sacalait. Are they deep now. How are they catching them right now. where at? Any advice would be appreciated.
Is the Bass Tournament open to the public? If so, do you just show up the morning of at the boat launch at the WMA?
There is always people that leave with nothing from there. And at the same time there is always people that catch. A few weeks back I did the same thing except on my way out with zero. I decided to fish a point I saw with moving water coming out (could see the muddy water). Ended up catching like 30 bass and numerous barfish (some nice a lot of small but still lots of fun, all in one spot). But any way fish the points like this. And you will have to be deep off the point. Get a good distance off of it. I normally start with a crankbait ( one that contacted the bottom for sure but who knows I end up with baits lining the bottom of my boat by the end of the day.) Hope this helps some. good luck
Yes use a full choke. That rem. 870 with throw a much tighter pattern with it. No doubt.
LOOKS LIKE AN INJURY DURING VELVET TO ME!
