Trolling Motor Repair in response to a report titled: Roaring sound from trolling motor

I recently purchased a used Minn Kota with a roar also.
Took the lower section apart. It was full of a muddy water. Washed it all out. Went to www.fish307.com. They have drawings of various motors with parts lists and prices. The gaskets. one bearing and other parts I needed came to just over $5.00 plus shipping. These motors are pretty simple. Good luck.
