Team motorhead, the tidal coefficient for Monday is a 70 which means there will be a decent amount of current. Its not as bad of tide as say today which is 35 coefficient.

My father and Uncle fished Leeville Lake Raccourci on the 14th, 15th and 16th and put 140 specks on the cleaning table. I'm not sure what their weather was compared to your trip on the 18th and 19th. It was a Monday thru Wednesday so I'm sure it was better weather than a Friday and Saturday...The fish are there though. They used live shrimp and cocahoes mainly on the bottom.

You paid for the land, not the public water flowing onto it.

Fishing can be expensive so I'm not spending my hard earned money nor precious time unless the conditions are at least favorable. No tide equals no fish from my experience.

Back when I hunted the Homochitto Forest I would leave my climber in the woods from Oct 1 to Jan 31. I used a combination bike lock to chain it to the tree, just to keep people honest. It could have easily been cut though. I did that for about 5 seasons and never had one stolen. In MS WMAs it is legal to leave a climber in the woods attached to the tree as long as it is tagged with your info. In LA WMAs however, you cannot legally leave it attached to the tree, it has to be laying on the ground as Pwilkinson stated.

when planting lablab in our summer plots we put up a perimeter of ribbon and spray the ribbon with deer away. It keeps the deer out of the plots until the lablab is mature enough to withstand.

Also, could it be turkeys or birds eating up all the seeds?

Im confused as to how this is the my mom and dad still pay my bills look. I have a finance degree and enjoy wearing boots, costas, fishing shirts and driving a nice truck to either work at my office or to a day with the family. Is it your understanding that one needs to have his name on his shirt in order to look professional?

Coming from Baton Rouge we always called them sacalait. When I moved to Ponchatoula 10 years ago everyone called them white perch, so now I call them white perch. If I say sacalait, I get that 'your not from around here' look.

A comment titled: deer numbers in response to a report titled: north of clinton, La Deer numbers

I'm north of Clinton between Liberty and Centreville. We havent notices any decline in deer. If anything, I see more deer now than in the past. We have 1400 acres with about 8 members that actually hunt. 1-11 point, and 5-8 points have been taken so far this year. Im not sure the number on does so far. We've never been a club that sees deer every hunt but I've been there for 10 years and see no real changes in our herd.

A comment titled: Very well said and congratulations! in response to a report titled: Buck of a Lifetime

DAX, Brent Young is my brother in law. He had been forwarding me the trail cam photos you were sending him of this monster. I was very excited for you when I heard you had gotten a shot at him and then later when you recovered the magnificent buck! You and that deer are pretty famous, as I've seen multiple pictures from multiple sources being passed around. Again, congratulations on such a truly once in a lifetime buck! Oh, are there any openings at your club next year, LOL!

From now on, let it be known the proper pose will be the fish out to the side, or on the ground, or back behind off in the distance, etc...
