Picked up the VuDu pink from J&C . They worked like you said they would capt Bill. Good catch thanks again.
Not surprised by this at all. Its a damn shame this occurred with out of state fishermen. A black eye for Louisiana. Sad Sad
Dularge is the place!
Captain Miller, when this happens do you charge for a full day of fishing? Did you give the customer a price break? Nobody wants to get sick but it happens. It happenened to me in Venice and was curious what is normal procedure.
How its looking for tomorrow capt? I see light winds. How is water quality? We ready if you give the word.
Capt Josh, you won't remember me but I had privilege of fishing with you through capt Bill Lake last summer. I also fished with your dad a few years ago and again through Capt Lake. Usually we book our trips spur of moment and CPt Lake is always booked up when we want to fish. First of all I want to say we all have bad trips once in a while and that's why it's called fishing and not catching like you say. I fished with guides often and you were one of the hardest working captains that I've been with and we caught 80 specks after having a slow beginning. I fished with Capt Gerald and Ricky and have always had memorable days . Don't forget that personality goes a long way when you spend 8 hours of your day in a boat with someone you don't know. Capt Josh you were about as good of a guide as one can expect and you can tell you take pride in your work and you love what you do. If you work with Capt Lake you know it's with first class top notch guides and you captains catch mor fish than most others. Keep up the good work and I finally will be fishing with Capt Bill in person on June 5. Ps... Enjoyed the show with you on Castin Cajun.
Just terrible. Illegal hunting no doubt. What a waste.
Go to Venice. Much shorter boat ride and the fishing is better.
The last trip I fished with Capt Bill we would swim the baits but never allow them to hit the bottom. I don't recall the Capt bouncing them at all. A steady pace back to the boat is all you need to do. Its not complicated.
Keepem coming Capt Bill, we on the way to get our share. Think this front will mess us up?
I couldn't find them today but I saw all those fish on your dock when I came in. Very impressive and WOW is all I can say.
You are killing me Capt Lake! Save some fish for my trip in October. My son and I can hardly sleep reading your fishing reports. Deposit is in mail. Take care.
Where did you put over with kayak, may try it on Labor Day?
If its not cross threaded, put some corrosive X in a shallow container and stand barrel in it overnight. Bet it unscrews in the morning.
I see you still on the fish Capt with that meat haul. Must be tricky with the bad weather every day. The fish must have been piled up for old Ken to catch limits. (Just kidding my friend) Great fishing Capt Bill & keep the reports coming.
Capt you found one of those old pipes marking the channel I suspect. Luckily did not go clean thru the hull.
Fishing every day and learning the water is the key to success. The guides have the edge over us sports and they know the fish patterns like we know the inside of our offices at work. I know many of the guides personally and you better believe its hard work to stay up with the fish patterns and such. All great guides have this trait in common. Maybe the sports aren't posting what they are catching for whatever reason but I guarantee you that they are out there in the Cocodrie & Dularge waters in full force. Coon Island alone will have 3o plus boats on any given weekend. I've personally seen 100 trucks at Jugs on a Saturday and not counting the other 100 at Falgoust Canal. And BTW guys the best method to find specks in the gulf is run & gun until you find what you're looking for. It may take 3,5 or 10 stops to find fish but if you a guide and it takes 10 stops you probably not doing your homework or in the wrong profession. I do have one question and has anyone heard of Taylors reef near Hellhole Bayou? I know its near the gulf maybe close to Oak Bayou but can't find it on any of the maps.
Capt Bill, you always seem to get your clients on the fish day in and day out. Kudo's to you and the ladies. There's a reason why you're the best down Dularge way. Keep it up man with these awesome reports.
Dularge is not south Of NO but its nearly as close. The fishing has been fantastic as of late. It appears to be a windy week ahead and you will want to fish protected water. Call Capt Bill Lake,985-851-6015, or Gerald Ellender 985-688-1715 for advice or if you need a guided trip.
Thanks for taking good care of my buds. I knew you Capts would put them on the fish. Never had a doubt but wish I would have been able to be there. Back home from work and wind is screaming out in the gulf. No boats out in EI field since middle of last week. You're the best & thanks again.
