Just got back from red river, bucks startin to rutt
Got these pics of this 6 pt this week that appears to be still in velvet. Also have been getting pics for a few weeks of this 9 point that has been out of velvet for a while. These pics are from around Natchez. Has anyone else seen anything like this. What is going on with him. If no one on here knows i guess i will have to ground check him. I have seen antlered does that keep velvet for a while, i was thinking that this could be a possibility.
Please stay on the lookout for someone around the Spring Bayou WMA in marksville selling alot of baitcasting combos and bass fishing tackle. Was stolen from a friends boat one night this week. The registration, title and other paperwork on the boat and trailer was taken also and is in the name of Barry G---. He was planning on bringing his little boy fishing the next morning for the 1st time in a while but was unable to because of these sorry SOB's. If anyone knows who these aholes might be or knows who has been known to do things like this in the area shoot me an email at corrugated7434@bellsouth.net
Just finished painting my boat with this paintjob. Took me and another guy about 5 hours and i think that it turned out pretty good. The only thing i would have done different is the color of the leaves, they were hit with a little bit of green that didnt show up as much as i would have liked. But all in all happy with it. I ordered the stencils from reelfoot camo, although it took about 3 weeks for him to get them to me, they were easy to use. The guys at pro drive sent me new stickers for free, I called them on a Wed afternoon and got them in the mail Thursday FREE. I found that to be excellent. Anyone else use any other kind of stencils with similar results.
JCHEMP, this is the way to cook a pig. You can do it many other ways but if you start drinking a buncha cold ones when you put the pig on at about 10:00 am while doing it like this the outcome at when the sun goes down is shown in the other picture.
I am looking to have a batchelor party in march or april with a group of guys that like to do just about anything. Fishing, Hunting, drinking, camping, cooking, Going out and looking at skanks, etc. Amyone have any suggestions on a locations, guides, events in that time frame or previous batchelor parties that have been fun. I have had a bunch of good ones but just looking into other suggestions. Thanks, also, everyone on here is invited.
Rincon, this is what happens when you scout your butt off and then bring all of your friends with you. They help you make meat. Regardless of who killed deer everyone had fun that night. Pictured is peanuts doe (who was hunting in a spot that bam found scouting), tylers doe (who was hunting in a spot that lee found), and my 8 pt that i killed hunting in a spot that i found and would not let anyone else hunt because i am a selfish sob. These were all killed the day after thanksgiving. Also brought a young boy hunting the next day and he killed a 5 point that i let walk. (not on purpose, hate to tell the story). Oh and you see that guy jimmy in the picture behind me, he didnt kill anything at all this year, just thought yall might want to know that.
Has anyone heard of a place called adobe hill around manchac? A guy was telling me that it was a WMA the other day and i have never heard of it. Anybody hunt there. Is it a club, private land Public, school board? I have never heard of a WMA called that.
Boy, do i like my metal business. When business is slow i can always find something productive for my employees to work on. Here are some pictures of their productive work. My new stand, 12 ft to the floor, 4X5 box, all galvanized 2" framing, double bubble insulated, completely trimmed out including gutters and soon to come plexiglass windows. I am thinking about starting to sell them. How much do you think that i can get for something like this. I have seen them on websites for 1000 to 1800 dollars. The only thing that i would change on the next one is to make a full length door in the middle with a latter down the mittle and i am thinking about ordering a coil of mossy oak camoflage metal that i would put on flat instead of corrugating it to make it easier to trim out. Any suggestions? Rincon, what date do you want to reserve your seat in it?
Just got back to my office after lunch and found this sitting on my desk. A brand new Benelli R1 300WSM. Would like to thank my fiance Booboo. Guess she thought i needed a little present for being such a good boy. Get you some Rincon650.
My new stand built for $150 and took me 3 hours. I am tired of building these huge wooden structures that weigh about 500 lbs and when you move them once they fall apart. This one only weighs about 150 and 2 people can stand it up. Was looking at the 16' tripods and they wanted $250 for them so i decided to build my own out of Galv tubing. The Platform is 14'high so eye level will be about 17'. Them little deers better watch out in that weed patch. Any suggestions on my next stand? I am going to enclose the next one and make it a little bigger for 2 people.
Anyone have any input on the 7mm mag vs the 7mm WSM.
This is the only pic of the deer that i killed on MLK day. Like i said your wife only took pictures of you with the deer and the chest cavity while it was hanging. For those of you who havent heard the story yet, he was running straight at me and was going to jump over the log i was sitting on, i picked up my shotgun just in time to pass a lick at him at point blank range, couldnt even put my gun to my shoulder because he would have hit the barrel. Weighed 200lbs and was skinny like a rat. Would have had 19-20" spread with the other side of the rack, with 6" bases. My biggest so far and most exciting hunt.
Would like to congratulate my boy Patrick for killing the Saturday record at Lake Ophelia. As you can see in the picture it is a 150lb 5pt. Not a monster but i had a monster belly full of fresh backstrap that night before i went to bed. I would also like to thank patrick for being so unselfish. As he provided this tender backstrap for his friends, he chose to eat the chewy heart ventricles for himself. We didn't kill that many deer in our group but we sure did eat good and drink alot until we got "Like a Rat"
Anybody know what was killed in Lake Ophelia for the 1st Lottery Muzzleloader Hunt? Myself and Rincon_650 will be hunting there for the last hunt. He has trail cam pics of a monster that we think will make the books. Just wanted to know if that deer is still roaming around in area 1. Sorry, dont ask me for the pics because Rincon is being stingy with them and wont give them to me, he knows i will post them.
I also had a bad experience with this man. You were lucky not to have him in the blind with you. My crew that hunted with me last year were all experienced duck and goose hunters but he treated us like it was the 1st time we ever had a shotgun in our hands. He wanted to call all of the shots, and 9 times out of 10 wouldnt, and would go crazy when one of us did. The guide we had with us was awesome and kept getting mad that david was soo stupid. We ended up picking up about 1 or 2 birds per person and at the end of the day he made us pose in all kind of stupid ways with the birds taking up about an hour of our time so that he could get good pics for his website. My father in law almost fought him because he was trying to tell him which way to stand, which birds to hold, how to hold them and all kind of other crap. At least we got a good laugh at him then. This guy is an idiot.
Meenoo dont answer his phone, you gotta send him a lil text. I think he only has a texting plan on his phone.
Yea, i have been around there a couple of times and some of them really get cocky sometimes, especially that short one, think his name is Jake.
I been looking for the fat black variable tone mallard call that i bought bout 10 yrs ago. I think it is the BDR-96. Do yall still have some?

The Taurus judge with the lazer sight that i just bought filled with 410 #6 is best fit for this job.
Try the rooms at Southern Comfort at the numbers that the others listed. There is one big room/camp that i think that your wife will be happy with. There is a big deck overlooking the Houma nav and the marsh that is really nice. For your fishing buddies, there are 2 smaller rooms with just sleeping accomidations, there are also slips under the marina to keep your boat. If your wife likes to crab, she should be able to catch plenty under the marina. None of the camps are for rent in southern comfort, it is a restriction of the subdivision not to do so.
Whats up Pat. How is everything in Iraq. Worry about my boys every day. We will try to find a piece of land for you in that area and we can build you a metal camp with the help of the old Bravo company boys. You will probabally come out much cheaper and have what you want. I will keep lookin for you. Tell my boys to email me when they get a chance @ corrugated7434@bellsouth.net. Yall take care.

I think that your wife (future) produced also. Looks to me like you are trying to hide the fact that she made you shave for the wedding. I may be wrong but..??? You got a pretty good handle on those ducks but why dont you try grabbing your b@l1s sometime.
I dont think that the cougar was the only ambush predator in the area, your wife is one also. Once upon a time she snuck up on me and ambushed me in Wal Mart, hitting me on the head with an onion knocking me unconcious momentarily. She spot and stalked me from downwind.
One time i filled my pocket with acorns before i went bow hunting and when a yearling stepped out about 50 yards i would throw the acorn between me and him and he would come closer and closer until i got him close enough to shoot. I must have had to throw about 10 but he ate every one that i threw and it lured him into shooting range. It was pretty cool, one of the times that i threw one a squirrel hurried up and stole one of them b4 the yearling got to it and he got upset so i took him out of his bad attitude with a rage 3 broadhead. Although he was only 53lbs he was pretty smart for a yearling. P.S, i chicken fried the whole thing.
You can launch at old river landing, it is the last landing going east towards morganza. There are signs by the levee and a church almost straight across the street.
You got alot of money, just buy it.
Sorry, Cant post pics, says that it is too large.
I had the same problem after about a year with my Rhino 660. They got so hot one time after riding through a rice pond that the grass caught under it caught on fire. Was making a bad clinking noise earlier that day. Brought it to the dealership and the pads were completely worn and they had to change the disk and shaft also. I was not very happy considering it was only a year old and barely ridden that i got hit for 1200 dollars. Change them asap in order to save the disk and shaft before it cost you more.
My camp in Southern Comfort had about 4 ft of water under it yesterday at noon. I am pretty sure 4 pt has a little bit more than that. Evacuated the camp friday morining at 4 am when i saw that the water was coming under the camp. Almost stalled out my Tahoe when i came off of the Falgout canal bridge over grand cailliou. Water was sweeping fast from lake boudreaux into our area. Will post pics of our camps when i get a chance.
He said the hell with the original dealer and bought elsewhere. That original dealer had recieved his boat and never called him to tell him that it was in. In fact, they never called him one time just to let him know what was going on after he gave them the deposit. I think that he got a better deal elsewhere in Baton Rouge (B.U.) and a hell of alot better service. Alot more details than i just mentioned, but if you have any questions on where to get an Xpress boat holla at Rincon_650
Here we go again, this is gonna be fun. Whoever gets ahold to the newspaper article and the one from WLF first please post it.
I said that his fishing equipment was stolen and some paperwork for the boat and trailer. It was all in one of the tackle boxes.
Its funny how he is not too lazy to call everybody the weekend before dove season.
