Caught these in Big Alabama in the front, near the levee, over the weekend. Has anyone been catching anything in Big Alabama past the "narrows"? How about Little Alabama and Henderson..can anyone give us a report on these areas?

P.S. LA_mudder...where are you fishing? Real nice catch!

Caught these fish along the levee about 15 miles south of Ramah; most people that fish this area come in from Bayou Sorrel or Jack Millers. Using tub jigs around stumps and lay downs. Usually when I catch fish in that area, they are bitting in several other places in the "Pat's Bay" area.
Good Fishing!

Hey guy's, want to know what a three pound sac-a-lait looks like? The bigest one in these pictures was just a few oz.s short of three lbs. They were caught in some pits that run along the levee just north of Fordouche, La.

Justin,
Speeking as an "Older" man, who has been fishing Old River (the one in Pointe Coupee,I assume) since I was a young man, I can tell you that it is a great, but tough place to fish. This time of the year it is affected by the Mississippi river stage (most of the time). If I were to go today I would try the button wood trees accross from the landing & around "Batchelor" slough. Then I would try some of the shallowest water I could find around cypress trees. You might catch zero or you might fill up the boat. Good luck!
