My lms 522c finally gave out and I bought a 339c to take its place because the wiring was the same.the map on the 339 is not nearly as detailed because it came from japan.what map would give me the most detail of the lake ponchartrain area.thanks in advance.
Looking to service a shimano scorpion dc.anybody know where i can make that happen?tried to buy boca bearings for it but couldnt cross reference.thanks in advance
Toughed it out with the rolling 2 to 3 footers and caught a decent box at the causeway.fish caught with kamikazi vortex shad.caught em jiggin the poles.water temp around 75 strong west wind to start, west south west to finish
With the thought of capsizing in the big pond due to the gale force winds yesterday,i decided to visit catfish lake.i havent fished there in 10 years but if you cant catch fish in catfish lake you might want to pick another hobby.with the high north wind we stayed on the north broken shoreline.what works for me in the marsh, especially when youve got all that wind blown water is to troll around and position your boat in the middle of multiple points and silently pole anchor or powerpole.cast to each point multiple time for 15 to 20 minutes.we repeated this pattern yesterday in tough conditions and it payed off.played catch and release with a few reds after the limit also released several puppy drum and rat reds.the fish were caught on chartreuse and white jerk shads and glow 3 inch gulp shrimp 18 inches under a popping cork in 2 foot of 67 degree water.sorry about the pic my brothers camera sucks.
Itchin to fish the causeway but i know the lake should look like chocolate milk tomorrow.might go pound the pilins anyway if nothin else to run the boat.
Had to work so brother in law went to the honey hole around the rigolets to find low and dirty water.tide dead at first and started coming in around 9.he said he caught several small blue cats and this goo.water temp was 48.he tried live shrimp and matrix shad in various colors.guess the honey hole aint a honey hole after a front with an incoming tide.
Made the ride through the fog to the marsh near the rigolets.with the water rolling out me, my brother and my nephew set up on a drain and started picking up fish.the bite slowed so we moved to deeper water and it was on.we played catch and release with the red fish after our three man limit with a few throw back dum, reds and trout also.most of the fish were caught with live shrimp on a drop shot rig in 25 feet of water.the bass were caught with shrimp creole and a kick a mullet.
Started in muscle bay and picked up a few trout.poked around in petes lagoon and found a bunch of small trout.managed 15 keepers ranging from 3 pounds to 13 inches.most going 13.brother in law caught two big drum and a 35 inch bull red in crooked bayou.we must have caught 40 trout to catch the 15.water was falling all day with a temperature of around 67.biggest trout caught on a kick a mullet.the rest bit on everything but a yozuri shrimp in any color.
Anyone know the safest and quickest route from bsm to lake robin.ive fished around this area for years, just not in lake robin.thanks in advance.
Made a solo trip to the causeway today.got to the fishing ground towards the north shore to find that same river water but managed to catch about seven trout, one red and a flounder.cant forget about the five croaker.moved to mid lake to find decent green water but couldnt buy a bite.made my way towards the south shore to find more river water but caught a few more trout.this trip really blew my mind.clean moving water ='s fish in my mind but today it was totally opposite.most of my fish were caught on new penny berkely gulp but did catch a few on shrimp creole matrix shad.all of the fish were keepers but not the hammers I usually catch on the causeway.couple of egg filled two pounders, the rest were 14 inchers.15 trout 1 red and a flounder.
Drove past dockside and live shrimp, thinking I would fish the south end of the tressles.changed plans and ended up fishing icw area with green hornet on a plain 3/8 head in the marshes south of the locks.caught my limit, lost a 3 foot tarpon and a gar about the same length.poor brother in law got skunked with same bait.
Got to go when I can,and hoping the weather man was wrong, which he wasn't,went to fourchon area for the first time in a kayak.I had one of the worst trips in my life, and that's saying a lot.if one of y'all catch a Calais on a cumara in the hole between the two points after the crane goin towards grand isle, there's a reward,a long shot I know but I love that reel.
Capt Paul,I have an old LMS-522.will your programs work for this unit.
What's the name of the launch closest to bayou beinvenue besides bait inc

Anybody out there know a good outboard mechanic around walker.thanks.
Beautiful conditions this morning at the causeway, then the wind flip flopped and the bite stopped.
Tough day but managed a few.countless throwback reds.could have caught a lot more drum but the water was screamin out the bayou yesterday.5 Reds 2 black drum 3 flounder and one lonely trout went to the freezer.majority of fish caught in muscle bay, fishing the run outs, two feet under a cork with 3 inch molting Berkeley gulp.sorry no pics.wont let me insert.they say the files too big.never had a problm before.
Thought it was gonna be a great day. first cast produced a 2 and a half pound trout with a tiger bait matrix shad.caught a couple more with live shrimp.made move to muscle bay somebody already posted up in spot I usually get, they were wearing em out.couldnt buy a fish anywhere else in muscle.decided to try and salvage trip in a spot that's usually good in an incoming tide.picked through alot of throw backs and managed enough to eat.lot of trout in the marsh right now.waiting for the bigger ones.sorry bout the pick I was in a hurry.majoriy of fish caught on 3 inch berkely gulp in natural two feet under popping cork.
Made a trip to the causeway saturday.fished from north shore to mid lake.caught a mixed bag consisting of one bull red,5 flounder, and about 25 trout.bad thing was,I had one 4 pounder one three, and all the rest were throw backs.
