Hey guys I'm looking for some new places to call coyotes on the Northshore. If anyone knows of a place or if anyone has a place and wants to go let me know. I've been trying the different WMA's in the area and have had some success, but I usually have someone squirrel hunting walk up on me and ruin my set. I live in Hammond. Shoot me an email. Shot this old male two weeks ago.
Thought I'd share a few of my recent drawings. As always feedback is welcome.
Here is my latest pencil drawing...criticism always welcome. Thanks for looking.
Set up this morning in the middle of three hay bails and put the FoxPro out about 20 yards from us. Shot one coyote at 75 yards, then shot this big male running at 100. Wasn't able to recover the first as it ran off and the blood trail ended, but this one fell dead in his tracks. One of the biggest coyotes I've ever seen here in Louisiana. I'm officially addicted to coyote hunting. And I'm saving deer.
If I have a small aluminum flat boat without a motor does it need to be registered and can I use it on a WMA??? Searched LDWF website but can't find any info. Thanks.
Just wanted to share my latest piece of work with you all. As always any feedback is appreciated. It's colored pencil. Thanks for looking.
Wanted to share my latest piece with you guys. I know deer hunters hate these things, and as a deer hunter I probably should as well, but they are without a doubt one of my favorite animals. Any constructive criticism is appreciated.
Well after 2 long years I finally got around to mounting the black coyote I caught near my home in Hammond. She still needs a base, but I havent decided what I want to put her on yet. Thought I'd share.
Wanted to share my latest piece of art and get some feedback. Not sure what I want as a background yet. Any suggestions? This was done entirely in colored pencil.
Here a few new projects I've been working on. The wood ducks are near completion. Just have to figure out what I'm gonna put in the background. Whitetail was done yesterday.
Looking for some pointers on how to set turtle lines. I'm looking to catch snapping turtles, but have no idea where to start. What's the best hook to use, line to use, etc.If anyone has any info they are willing to share I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks, Derek.
Hey Roughstock I finished the drawing of your dog. I really appreciate you letting me draw this photo. Here's the photo and finished drawing. I changed the license plate number for obvious reasons. Roughstock please send me an e-mail when you see this. Derek.
Well after catching the red fox the other day I was pretty excited to say the least. That is until today when I found this black yote in the same trap set that I caught the fox in.
So after all the responses I received from the whitetail pencil drawing, I decided to do a duck in color for those that asked. Nothing elaborate just a blue-winged teal in flight. Feed back is definately welcome and appreciated.
Oh and just so everyone knows...this was done entirely with colored pencils. I do not under any circumstances paint cause I tend to be somewhat of a perfectionist.
