I had the pleasure of fishing with some regulars Friday and Saturday with Gilbert, Pat, Norris {better known as Pop} and Winston. So for this year we continue to have great fishing trips as we were very lucky to have boxed up 125 Friday and 97 Saturday of again some of the biggest speckle trout I have seen yet this year. Yea I know 3 short of a limit Saturday and could not find the last 3 trout. O-well no one was complaining. All the fish was caught on live shrimp under a cork. Thanks fellows for 2 good days on the water and I do look forward to seeing you guys on the water again. Bayou Log Cabins LLC,Capt. Clay Boudreaux, 504-912-8901.

I had the pleasure of fishing on Friday with {Rodgers, Andrew, Doug and Rick} on Saturday with {Tate, his wife April, there 2 children Samantha and Brian} and on Sunday with {Dr. Ray, Ash, Brinkley and Brandy}. I suppose you could call this a picture perfect weekend in terms of fishing speckle trout near the beaches of Grand Isle. I very seldom have to pull my net out for trout, but this weekend the net stayed wet all 3 days {if you know what I mean} We were very fortunate to have boxed up 300 BEATUFUL SPECKEL TROUT for the weekend. Fishing with live shrimp under a cork with over 2ft of tide, a dark moon, and over cast skies, the fishing was awesome. I want to thank all my costumers for hanging in there and doing such a great job. Capt. Clay Boudreaux "Bayou Log Cabins LLC" 504-912-8901.

I had the pleasure of fishing with Kelvin Barre, Kelvin Boudreaux, David Billings and Jermey. We left the log cabins out of Lake Hermitage early Saturday morning and we found a early bite. The wind that has been battering everone for the last few weeks seem to have laid down for our fishing trip. Fishing live shrimp under a cork we managed to box up 125 beautiful speckle trout. I had a great time fishing with these guys. This guy Kelvin Boudreaux was hilarious and a fun guy to fish with. I look forward to fishing with this group again. Good job y-all and thanks to Kelvin Barre for booking the trip. Bayou Log Cabins LLC, Capt. Clay Boudreaux, 504-912-8901

I had the pleasure of fishing with Phillip and Gary Saturday and a pleasure it was. I was a little reluctant to take these guys with only .2 tents of a tide but we decided to try anyway. Fishing with live shrimp we were able to box up 75 very nice trout. I had a great time fishing with these guys and look forward to another summer of fishing in Barataria Bay. The specks are starting to show up under the lights at night in Lake Hermitage Bayou.

April is here and the speckle trout are right on time for another season of night fishing under the lights. We started catching trout 2 weeks ago and it seems to be getting better as time goes on. Typically we catch speckle trout and red fish under the lights 9 months out of the year. From April to December.

Located 17 miles south of Belle Chasse 5 miles off the beaten path of hwy 23 is a 150 year old fishing village called "Lake Hermitage". We have 1 new log cabin up and running for the 2007 season with the pilings in the ground for the 4th log cabin. This year is shaping up to be another good year with cabin rentals. Great for family get a-ways or corporate outings. Fishing under the lights is great for the women and kids. Crabbing, fishing and swimming are some of the pass time activities you can experience during your stay. This year we have added canoe rentals to the list.

We also have a back down boat lunch that is now open to the public. Anytime any day availability for putting your boat in the water. You will have to call before coming down.

Salt water fishing guide services are available with Capt. Clay Boudreaux as your guide. His 24 ft. Bay Stealth is ideal for fishing inland waterways, large bays and gulf passes. Each fishing charter can be personalized to meet your individual or group's needs.

Come experience the scenic beauty and splendor of life on the bayou. Cabin rentals are for over night stays or weekend get a-ways.

Not too many bass around anymore, however the pipe line canals you were talking about held trout until the end of December.

The parish grades the road every Friday. Also the parish is telling us the road should be black toped by the end of this year.

Kenny I new Johnny he had a camp across the bayou, he was a good man. The specks are slowing down the last 2 weeks. It might be just the bad weather we been having because I don't think the water temp is cold enough yet to push them out. You might want to wait until April when the spring bite cranks up. That's when we start catching on the south side of barataria bay near 4-bayou pass.
