Need a method for attaching to Rigs. Has anyone had experience with EZ Rig Hooks(no pole just hook/with release and line/suubber. For a 22FT Bay Boat. Or just use a nylon line?
New to LA and know Baitcasters are used a lot in saltwater fishing here. . I like Shimano spinning reels, is the Curado or Chronarch a good way to go. Have seen the Abu Garcia Revo and H2O Xpress advertised . Any rod reco's also appreciated. Thx.
I am new to the area and have used Boat US Towing in other areas. Is Boat US or SeaTow better for South LA. I will be fishing Hopedale/Venice/Lake Ponchatrain and other areas.
Have a Skeeter Bay Boat on order and need to determine trolling motor to buy. I am used to a manual Minn Kota , do a lot of sight fishing and have a rod in one hand and can turn off troll motor quickly. Considering the I=Pilot but uncertain if it will be clumsy to push buttons when I am sight fishing and need to cast quickly. Appreciate any input.
I am moving to LA having grown up in New Orleans. I like to sight fish Reds and also want to be able to fish the close in rigs. The always difficult question of what boat can do both, get shallow and handle a chop. I have a 17 foot Action Craft Flats Boat I use in FL. Thinking of a Bay Boat in 20-22 Foot Range, Skeeter or similar. Will need to hop up on plane in 12' or so. Any input will be appreciated.
