1) Take the bill of sale to your local parish office to pay the La, taxs in your parish. (This took me about 30 minutes - very painless).
2) Take the parish paid tax receipt and the bill of sale to Baton Rouge La. Wildlife and Fisheries office and pay the registration fee.. They will issue you your registration numbers (very easy).
I purchased my boat in Texas and waited over 3 months for them to get the PAPERWORK right. I finally contacted the owner of the company - they sent me 2 signed checks. I went to the parish tax office in the morning, drove to Baton Rouge the same morning, and had my registration numbers by noon.
