A comment titled: 308, 30-06 , 300 Win Mag in response to a report titled: 308 v/s 30 06

Bottom Line........ I own all three of these classic
30 caliber rounds in various rifles. The advantage of the
308 is the short action (Ruger Compact) light and super accurate. The 06 in Ruger 77(Tang) and 300 Win.(TC Encore)
I shoot Hornady 165 Grain Interlock in all 3. For many years
long range competive shooters used 308 and 300 Win Mag, now
the hot round is 6.5x 284 (less recoil). If I would be in the market for another deer rifle it would be a 7mm08.
shot action, light recoil.Back to versatility the 308 has it all and most swat teams use this round also (Hornady Tap.)
All 3 30s can be loaded up to 220 grains( Moose) Good luck
in your choice.....

2nd-Install water separator in fuel system
3rd-Gas tank must have a good vent cap
4th-make sure your choke linkage is not vibrating open
5th-Take it to Warren Coco to repair at GO Devel

I aggree with you birdnest I have a Martin Rebel, short bow
55# lite lite lite.I also got feed up with the compound tech.I have not had any kills with my curve yet but also
have not hunted much either.I shoot 125 grain land sharks and they fly straight. It takes a lot more practice
with a curve than a coumpound.....enjoy the challange

A comment titled: Fishing Bruin in response to a report titled: Oxbows

I fish Lake Bruin every year in the spring. But I know this time of year can be good also.Work jigs or brush hogs for big fish .Check water temp try spinnerbaits and finess worms
Colors PumpkinseenChart....Elect blue worms are good also
If you can find grass at Bruin you will find the fish.
Saint John is about like Bruin.Concorda can be great...
with big stringers top water baits Lunker lures
fish any of these lakes before a front and you will do good.

good luck jeff

A comment titled: My opinion!! in response to a report titled: whats the best gun

Redfisher, after 40 years of hunting and shooting I have seen alot of shotguns come and go.With the non toxic BS
waterfowl laws, older guns cant handle steel.I would go this way-- Cheap--Rem.Express 870 26" barrel ,best buy hands down. Hi dollor- Browning Gold 26" The 870 Walmart
or Academy for about 225.00 Browning gold try gun shows and maybe 800.00 plus tax. Also no need for 31/2 mag unless
you plan to hunt geese alot. just my opinion good luck
