So the past couple years I've been duck hunting with my buddy down in the Hopedale area. We always take his boat and he knows the marsh like the back of his hand. It's looking like he may not be able to hunt as much this upcoming season so I may have to go solo or at least take my own boat. I definitely think I would benefit from a handheld gps to mark the duck pond and a couple of random fishing spots. I use a decent sized aluminum flat so I won't be going too far or in any big water. After doing some research it looks like GPS in the marsh is a tricky subject due to the changing terrain and water levels. Any advice for best Louisiana marsh handheld GPS?
Thanks John! Looking at some his older responses now.
Thanks Captain Paul! I ended up going with the Garmin 64 st. I have been playing around with it on and off but haven't taken it on the water yet. I'll let ya know how it works out. Thanks again for the advice!
