I live near Stockwell Place in Bossier and I see on line that there are hogs here. I have quite a bit of property behind me with fields, woods and water. I put out some corn with a hog mix in it to see if I can draw some in.
I hope it works so I can get some bow practice in!!
Are there any public lands, not WMAs, that you can go and bow hunt pigs?

Holders of a valid Louisiana hunting license may take coyotes, feral hogs where legal and armadillos year round during legal daylight shooting hours
This is off the Web site.
Night time:
On private property, the landowner, or his lessee or agent with written permission and the landownerâs contact information in his possession, may take outlaw quadrupeds (coyotes, armadillos and feral hogs), nutria or beaver during the nighttime hours from one-half hour after official sunset on the last day of February to one-half hour after official sunset the last day of August of that same year.
I would love to have access to a property that I could go and shoot them, but I cannot afford $150 per day that people are asking. I am looking for a spot to just shoot one every once and a while, not a year around lease.
I have my camera set up. I figure it will take a day or two or three, but I will see.
Thanks
Is there a place where public lands are posted so I can look for a place to hunt? I see a lot of land around here that is wooded, and appears to be state land and not in use.
I called the Louisiana Wildlife department and the person that answered said that hunting on WMAs is during season only. I asked specifically about Loggy Bayou near South Bossier
I figured that. I cannot hunt on WMAs unless a season is open and I do not want to interfere with deer season. It would be nice to have a place you could go to anytime just to kill a hog, but I guess I will keep looking around
I think you are confusing Night time season vs. daytime.
