Hey every one..... Just hoping to get a little feed back. Ive only been to grand isle once since moving to la and Ive never been after the month of June. I have a friend coming from out of town the 20th of july and im thinking of taking him there to fish . Can anyone advise me on the trout bite that time of year. I know that Brenton sound has a decent bite on the rigs in that area and im just wondering is this the same for grand isle or can you still catch on the beaches like you do in the month of June.
Thanks so much for any help

Hey Guys, i could use some advice. My wife and i are making our first trip ever to venice in two weeks. We are wanting to fish platforms for a variety of fish. Should we concentrate on the brenton sound and main pass rigs or should i go out of southwest pass and try the west area . Im comforatable going out 20 miles. Also which live bait would best suit our needs. we will be staying at cypress cove marina . thanks for any help.

i just moved to the bush la area from virginia. i am looking for a club or someone who would like to lease a property with a serious hunter who has strict management in mind.
i enjoy having a good time but i take my hunting seriously. i would be up for going in on something within a two hour radius of my location. la or ms would be fine. i do not turkey hunt so i would not be cutting in on someones spring gobbler season. i would love to be in with some guys who dont harvest anything under the 120 range with the exception of screwed up cull bucks. i can provide references of leases that i left in va.
thanks so much for considering me in this.

A comment titled: Re: New Bay Boat advice in response to a report titled: New Bay Boat advice

All the boats mentioned are great boats. Do not know why anyone would rank the tidewater as the low end. I own a 24 ft tidewater bay boat. my wife and i were 12 miles out of venice two years ago and got caught in a terrible storm.
waves were 8 to 10 ft. We had decided we were not going to make it. the pressure from the front crashing down from the peak of a 10 ft wave into the next wave was so severe that it broke all 4 bolts that held my ultera trolling motor and it was total lost. brackets that held my cooler in front of the console broke on the metal brackets. I have said 100 times that if i had been in some of the other boats I Dont know if we would have lived. This lasted 45 straight minutes. My wife was bruised all over from being beat around so bad.

Ive owned three boats and this is my first tidewater ...cant ever imagine switching....not because of my story but its absurd to say tidewater would be the low end. .

happy shopping
