Anyone know if the Strawberry Festival tournament out of North Pass is still on for tomorrow??
I have only boiled shrimp a few times, and i dont remember the recipe i used. is it pretty much the same as crawfish as far as seasoning and salt go?? im boilin 20 lbs of 21-25's with corn potatoes and sausage. i was thinking bout cutting back 25% or so off of my crawfish recipe. i know the process, i just dont remember how much salt and seasoning i used. any input would be appreciated!

Any one hear how Laiche did today in the Classic??
It is on Saturday March 6th, daylight to 3pm. It is a Team tournament, first place guaranteed $1,000, and they are paying ten places.
Our season is already underway, but we accept new members any time of the year. For prospective new members your next eligible tournament would be our March Tournament out of Des Allemands. The meeting for that tournament is on the last Monday of this month at 7pm in the Daily Star building in Hammond. In addition, The club pays the entry fees for the two state Federation B.A.S.S. Qualifiers for the top six finishers from the previous years standings.
Thanks

Representing LA and the North Pass Bassmasters very well. He is about 9lbs or so away from the Classic!! Good Luck!
The next diversion needs to be through Reserve and into Lake Maurepas! This state could become one hell of Bass fishing venue and give Florida, California, and Texas some competition.
RE SHEDULED FOR MAY 9TH
The bottom fish in the top pic is a bass, outdoor council. Must have been a self appointment to that outdoor council!!
You would be better off going fishing in your ditch, not many fish left in Manchac!!!
Never, ever, give away your secrets HF!! dont let em take you to school!! Good job posting the wrong bait, now the river will be full of idiots throwing crawfish rattle traps, and you can laugh every time u pass one of them up!! Touche!!!!
u sure that scale is right, that fish looks bigger than that!! Huge fish!! congrats
appreciate the input fellas!!
The lake is chocolate milk muddy due to the diversion. 13 lbs won the des allemands tournament Sat., where they won it at i do not know. I fished Segnette all day Sunday and did not even boat a short fish! I would assume the tourny winners made a run to catch 13lbs, because no one else was even close from what i heard.
it looks like the one on the left is still alive, quick shoot it!! that is very in-humane, Peta will be all over you for that. (People for Ethical Treatment of Alcohol)

Bahm's in husser, hands down, the best real smoked sausage i've ever had! No liquid smoke.. Whitetail butcher shop has a good jalapeno and cajun sausage as well as breakfast sausage, but Bahm's is by far the best smoked sausage around!
It takes patience and discipline to kill a mature buck. My best advice to you is to stay out of there until the rut. There will be bucks in there during the rut guaranteed!! When the rut arrives set up camp in that stand, until then stay out, and you will be rewarded!
