The Lafayette Kayak Fishing Club (LKFC) is having its Annual Speck & Redfish Cup this Saturday May 16th. This is a Go-Anywhere LA-Statewide Kayak Fishing Tournament sponsored by Pack & Paddle, Duce Rods, Academy, Buggs Fishing, H&H lures, Abita Beer, Fish the Bayou, and K2 coolers, so there will be great door-prizes given away at the weigh-in.
Participation is open to the public and tournament entry fee is $25 or $30 if you wish to participate in the Flounder Calcutta Side Pot (+ 1.25 via PayPal).
Anglers may launch from any publicly accessible grounds in the State of Louisiana and attempt to haul in their heaviest combination stringer of Slot Redfish and Speckled Trout. Anglers will be allowed to weigh up to 2 of each- Slot Redfish (16 to 27) and Speckled Trout (12 min). We will be taking the overall weight of up to 4 fish. It is ok if you don't bring in all 4; furthermore, it is ok to only weigh 1 fish. The weigh-in will begin at 5pm (must be signed-in by 5pm) at Pack and Paddle in Lafayette. Food and drinks provided at the weigh-in!
Your tournament entry fee also puts your name in the hat for some great door prizes, so be sure to stay for the drawings and awards ceremony after the weigh-in.

Our Series is sponsored by Pack & Paddle, Duce Rods, K2 coolers, Academy, Buggs Fishing, H&H lures, Abita Beer, and Fish the Bayou, so there will be great door-prizes given away at the weigh-in.
The MMTB is a Tackle-Exchange Tournament in which participants must fish with an anglers bag of lures to be randomly drawn the morning of the tournament (see tourney Details and Rules in the link below).
Participation is open to the public and tournament entry fee is $25 or $30 if you wish to participate in the Speckled Trout Calcutta Side Pot (+ 1.25 via PayPal). Your $25 entry gets you entered into the Heavy Stringer Category (2 Slot Redfish 16 to 27), Top Bag Side Pot, and Door Prize Drawings (which will take place at the weigh-in - must be present to win).
