Hi everyone, my name is Jeremy and I'm an avid bass fisherman. I live in Carencro, LA and would love to make friends with someone who owns a pond in the area. I bass fish as often as I can and sometimes get off early during the week but not early enough to bring the boat out. I am willing to fish as the pond owner request, whether that be to release or keep what I catch. I usually release, but I've met owners who asks to keep them or put them somewhere for the owner to grab when they'd like a fish fry for themselves. I promise to clean up after myself and treat your pond and fish with respect.
Also if anyone knows any public ponds in the area, I'd love to know about them.
Appreciate anything you're willing to give
If anyone wants some choupique, please go fish Big Alabama anywhere around Johnson Bayou. Fish a Texas rigged Junebug colored baby brush hog. I promise you can catch choupique all day. I don't care what you do with them, just kill them!
I don't know if these guys scare bass and sacalait out the area, but I know when they are around it seems a lot harder to catch bass/sacs.
Hey guys, I came across a 2007 22ft Triton LTS powered by a 250 merc. I was just wondering if anyone has any opinion on the motor and/or hull of the boat. If it helps the motor is a Mercury 250XS. It has one year of warranty left. The kind of detail I'd like to know is if it is a dry hull and smooth riding boat. We current own a nautic star 1910 and its a tremendous riding boat for its size and very dry. Please let me know your opinions. In the mean time keep your lines loaded and ready as speckled trout season is just beginning.
Hey guys, I'm looking for a fairly inexpensive taxidermist or maybe just someone who has been practicing it and would give me a good deal.
I caught some nice trout that i thought was bigger due to a funky offbrand boga. Thought they were closer to 8 and they are 6-6.5lbs. But i'd still like to mount them, because i just bought a trailer and it needs some wall decorations.
Has anyone ever fished a Pro-am bass tournament? I know they have them and I can't find any info on how to fish them or even where they are. I've been bass fishing since i can remember and just real interested in getting deep into the sport, but would like to try a pro-am tourny to get a feel of it. Hopefully one of the Lasmag guys can help me. Thanks fellas
Does anyone fish Indian Creek this time of year? I've only been there once years ago, and I have a small bass tourny this upcoming Sunday. Any info on flats or other general areas to fish would be nice. I tried looking on google earth to see if I could tell where the flats were but couldn't. So said.. there were 2 12lbers caught out of there recently....
Hey guys i was wondering if any of you have ever fished grande isle or areas around grande isle for trout during this time of the year. We will be staying in my uncles camp down there since the V. Bay area is muddy. Just wondering if anyone had any tips on where to fish at? I don't want any secret spots or baits. Thanks in advance. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Or if you know of any cheap places to stay around big lake, that'd be cool too
K guys. I would really appreciate any little peice of info you can afford to give me. I do fish Vermillion Bay quite often and usually do pretty good for specs. Tomorrow I'm bringing some old high school friends, who'd love to get on fish and I'm wondering if anyone can share a good redfish hole just incase the specs aren't cooperating. Appreciate it fellas. Goodluck out there!
Finally caught our limit at the bay!! Caught fish all over, in and out the pass. Majority under corks
I found a website with all kinds of recks, reefs, and rig coordinates and I was wondering if anyone has tried or know of some wrecks in and around the area. I was just wondering if anyone has ever tried some. Just trying to get out of the crowds of boats and fish some news spots. Thanks for any responses.
I have the website too if anyone wants to see it
What does that mean?? Does it have to deal with the clarity of the water?? I always look at it and have no clue what it is...
to see the graphs look here http://waterdata.usgs.gov/nwis/uv?07387040
Just seeing if anybody has hit the point yet this week?? Is anybody going this weekend also... I'll most likely be out there Saturday. Tide's look like they are going to SUCK.
Hey guys, I've seen this site help people out even when they were going fish in Gulf Shores.... so i was wondering if anyone has ever brought along a fishing pole to Panama City Beach. I don't care what I catch I just want to catch something anything!! Any size, shape, or color as long as I can catch it without a boat. I'd be fishing off of the beach or if there any docks. If you even have any ideas of what to use to catch different species that might be common over there, I'd appreciate it.
Hey just seeing if the bridge is open. I don't know the body of water but we call it the bayou patout bridge or maybe the quintana canal. Its the bridge that the barge hit or somethign like that during the hurricanes. Its on the road that goes past dago's
Hey guys, I'm just looking to see a report on water quality at big lake. Anything that will help us save or make a 2 hour drive would be nice. Thanks in advance
Hey guys anyone been to Cow Island recently. Just seeing if anything is happening. Looking to go catch preferably some bream, bass, or sacaliat. If nothing is happening over there we're probably going to Vermillion Bay for some specs! =D
Thanks in advance fellass
Has anyone tried caldwell reef yet? I'm thinking about going give it a try since we have south winds all week. Think the water should be ok? We'll probably try tee butte too. Should be worth a try right?
Hey one of our buddies went fish big lake today and he said the water was muddy all over because of the incoming tides and north winds. Do ya'll think it should clear up by Sunday with the East SouthEast winds(or whatever they are predicting)?
The other day on the way home from work, I saw this triton bay boat in Opelousas with what looked like a custon T-top over his console. I saw it from far, so I didn't get to really look at the details. It looked like aluminum poles about 1" in diameter with maybe some kind of plastic black connections between aluminum poles, and the top of it must of been a cloth like material to provide you with shade. It looked like something you could buy and put up yourself pretty easily, or maybe it would fold up or something. I couldn't tell, I wish I could of stopped him to talk to him. Anyway just seeing if anyone has every seen anything like it or maybe heard of it and know where I could look at them.
Is there a trout shootout going on this weekend at big lake? I thought I heard of one earlier in the week, but I haven't seen any excitement about it, so I was wondering if maybe I heard something incorrectly. I'd hate to drive 2 hours there, and they'd have 2000 more boats than usual.
