Fished this past Monday in the Goose Bay Area with pretty good luck before the wind ran us in. 14-18ââ¬Â trout and a limit of reds in the grass. Trout camp on creole and the reds on small crankbaits. After the storm it should be hit and heavy.
Heading down in the am to GI, just looking for an updated report. Thanks guys!!!!
We hit the stump lagoon area before the front and too say the least one of the best trips of the year 75 trout and ten reds. Tagged another 58 trout as my buddy finished out his tags for the year. Limbo slice and shrimp creole under cork accounted for 80% rest live shrimp. Points with current is all you need. Happy holidays guys.
Another great day with my son. Fished the marshes around sister lake and the main lake as well until Morher Nature said no more. Creole under popping cork yielded 95%. These are the best days of my life to enjoy these days with my son.
Took the son out last weekend and caught over a100, kept 50 or so. 4 bayou area on the beach. Used live shrimp and plastics. The fish he holding came on vudoo glow/char. Friend fished the last two days and killed them at fourchon. Good luck.
Heading down to the Chene Tom, just seeing if the trout are still feeding. Thanks in advance.
Fought the tough conditions and boated 75. Most came on live shrimp Caroline rig, 3/8 oz, 18' of water. Move till you find keepers. Good luck.
Took my 10 yrs old son and friend to GI sun and mon. Fished the rocks in front of state park, 27 specs, live shrimp. Mon an went to Elmers, crabbed before the weather got us. Grand Isle still a favorite.
Want to take my son fishing from bank today, any reports from the bridges near Bait inc. thx in advanced!
Going down this sun. And was wondering if anyone has any reports? Thx First time to the area.
Thanks tassain
Any contact where I can purchase double ring crab nets and also thanks for the reply.
Congrats on your trip. If you could explain where the bayou is located you caught the crabs. Thx in advance.
In response to the nonsense! I moved to the D'Ville area approx three years ago and have spent countless hours getting to know Dularge. I'm the guy with the 22 'blue pro master that is usually loaded with young men, my son. When I first starting fishing I never saw the guides, but this year I do. Key words II see the guides, by running around looking for the right point or reef. These guides have been instrumental in letting me know when do go and when not to go. As far as fish count, go shade birds for 4 hrs, your arms will fall off. Thx guys at the Reel Inn.
Took the boys down today since they were off from school. They caught approx. 75 trout and kept 43. What a great day when kids can catch fish like that. Thanks Capt. Miller for the heads up that the trout were heading to the lakes. Pattern: Main lake points and bays on the north side due to the wind. Hit and move, once the sandies show up move. Hot bait was lemon head matrix, close second creole. Safe trips.
Capt T don't give that guy a second thought. You guys give us info we can't get no where else. Do you give us coor., hell no that's y'all living out there. Y'all let us know when the fish or on or off. In response to the hater, go find the fish yourself. She trips fellow fisherman.
If you can dodge the storms, a lot of trout on south side of rock island. Good luck and be safe.
Thx for the report Capt. I fished that spot last year with my a guy that has a camp down on the island and did well with the Reds. Going down in my own boat today and don't remember how to get there. Any help would be great. Thx.
First time fishing with Capt. tommy, and to say the least it was first class. From the 24' skeeter, to the relentlessness Capt. showed. The conditions were tough to say the least but this guy doesn't give up. I've fished with guides for a long time and he is tops! Thanks again and see you soon.
They dredge year round, according to guys that guide down there. The wind has it churned up, get into the marsh, fish drop offs.
The shoreline with the rocks always produce, you but the entire lake is fishable. However with the low water temp. The fish are deep in the marsh,on drop offs. Hope this helps good luck. Two launches, Falgout for decade, Juggs for merchant area.
Another great report Capt. Tommy. You always make sure the kids come first, that's big time!!
Call campos, great people and they will get you hooked up.

Not a bad morning at all. Caught over 70, kept maybe half. All caught on lemon head, shrimp creole under popping cork. The canal with the power lines produced most fish, caught a few in the mine. Hit and move to pick through the small ones. Good fishing!
Thanks fellow fisherman, that's what this site is intended for. I'll give an update after Tom, hit or miss.
Heading out there Tom, just see if that trip was 12-7-15 thx.
Mrgo, move a lot and weed through them. Good luck
Fished out of Juggs last wed. Bought 30$ of live shrimp from the houseboat. They lasted 30 minutes with my live well on continuously. My advice would be to go the minnow route, shrimp were not in good shape.
