Looking for a partner Saturday, October 3, to fish the Jacob Dugas Tournament out of Doiron's Landing.

Fished today out of Belle River Public launch and weighed in 11.3 lbs. Big Bass was 3.30.

I have a boat, live in Denham Springs. If you have something to pull it with, even better. But I can get it to the landing with a little coaxing of the wife.

Entry fee is $180 plus launch fee. So, probably around $200 total. We can split everything.

Send me a note on here for contact info if you want to fish Saturday.

Thanks

I took the wife and kids out to Hopedale Lagoon Sunday and we caught 5 nice trout, pic attached.

I would like for someone to help point me in the right direction so we can catch a limit of trout or reds. I want my son to get on them and have fun. We will most likely be catching and releasing, it's just for him to have fun. We live in Denham Springs. So any area that is close to there would be helpful.

Yesterday was our second day fishing for specks. Last weekend we tried Bayou Lacombe, with no luck. At least yesterday, we were able to bring some home to fry. We mainly floated around Hopedale Lagoon just casting and hoping.

I normally fish out of Doiron's; mainly bass fishing local tournaments.

Our boat is a 18' Ranger.

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

We are Livingston Parish transplants from Texas. I've heard not to tell people I am living in Livingston Parish due to the renegades here. It's all good though.

I try to teach the family about conservation and leaving some to catch another day.

It breaks his heart to have to throw back anything, but hopefully one day we will understand.

When we go deer hunting on his grandpa's land in South Texas, we always shoot a cull buck or a spike to help with herd management and let the big boys walk to get better deer on the ranch.

He will appreciate it all when he gets older and begins taking his little one out in the woods or on the water.

Thanks

Marty
