I have a trip scheduled to Toledo Bend for Thanksgiving weekend at South Toledo Bend State Park. It's been 20 years atleast since I made my only trip there. I am taking my boys there and just curious to see if you guys have any advice to catch some descent Bass at the end of November time? Any help would be awesome
Thanks
You can email me if you don't want your advice in public view.
I will be fishing my first spawning season in the Henderson area with my 11yr and 13yr old boys. Can someone please share with me the best places to find where the bass will be spawning? It seems to me that all of the bottom is very soft mud and no place for the fish to spawn? Also any insight on where I should be fishing now for pre-spawn fish in the area? You can email me if you are not willing to post it on the website to broussardterry@gmail.com.
Thanks for the advice and Merry Christmas!
Terry

I am wanting to upgrade my boat and I want to purchase a bay boat Nautic Star, Pathfinder, Champion, Ranger... That is not my question My question is I am looking at a 21 foot to a 24 foot, probably more of the 21 to 22 foot bay boat... I am concerned with fuel econamy... What size motor would be best for the 21 or 22 foot bay boat... 4 stroke or 2 stroke.... 150 to 250.. The 150 is a little undersized for those size boats does it take more gas to push them or what... I would like your imput, Thanks for your help

Or do I have it already... We would like to catch reds and specks... Would intracoastal city be a better place for us to fish... If so were should we start fishing... I am a little scared to go out to south west pass in my little boat and all of my boys... Can anyone help me understand what I am doing wrong or is it just not the best place to fish... New orleans or cocodre are catching the heck out of fish why not in this area... Please help me put a few fish in the boat for my boys..

Very dirty today... Someone is letting water in from up north and is all that old sugarcane dirty mud water... Looked like the Vermilion river today...
Thanks
McGees landing was able to handle my 22 ft bass boat no problem. Just stay in the main canels when running and you should be ok. If you are not sure then I would not recommend anyone going with the water this low. I had a business card on my window of a local prop shop when I got back to my truck. Not Amused at all!
Thanks for the info
The roll up maps at academy are broken down into sections and they have the names you are looking for. Good Luck!

How is the water there?

Thanks for all the input. I spent the fall trying to chase the shad in the back the coves like they said would happen in November with no luck at all with that theory. The black water I am talking about was North West of the bridge. I am not sure we are doing for new year weekend yet. Thanks
Terry
Thanks. I have been searching for clean water and struggling to find any. I thought I had some a while back and I was told that was black dead water, I could see 8ft down. Still searching for clean water I thought I found it today but was told that's not clean either. Trying to learn this place. Thanks for the info
Saturday, was muddy and windy. We were able to pick up 5 keepers
Nice mess of fish, was this Saturday or Sunday?
at any one of the weirs and just hope you get shrimp with the shad... LOL... I keep castnetting until I get live shrimp... I just feel like they hit the live shrimp better... A lot better than gulp that is for sure...
were you using live bait when at caldwell... Live shrimp is best...
T
caldwell reef is the reef you are talking about... Thanks for the report, I feel better about not going fishing tomorrow morning... By Tuesday or Wednesday I thinking fishing will pick up there...
Ike may screw that up though...
