Capt. Paul,

I am about to buy a new gps system and have narrowed it to the Humminbird Helix 10 and the Lowrance Elite 9Ti. I have looked at the Legend Geaux Card and it looks great. However, due to the graphics on the Humminbird down imaging, I was leaning that way, but also want a great navigation system. I was wondering if you could show me what the satellite imagery looks like on the Navionics on a Humminbird and how do you think it compares to the chip on the Lowrance. I mainly fish Delacroix and the lake. Thanks

To start, if there are sizable sacs in the lake, you SHOULD be taking some to eat! Crappie are so prolific that it is recommended that they are not stocked in any body of water less than 20 acres. They will reproduce too fast and overpopulate the lake, leaving it with a ton of stunted small fish. Also, if the lake is devoid of cover, you should make your own. I would be happy to show you how and where to put them and how to fish them, to maximize your catch.😊
