Apologies if this is not the correct forum to post this question. I have never been on an offshore fishing trip, and would love to be able to go out at some point during the rec Red Snapper season. I do not have a boat, so I am assuming that a charter is the only way to go- are there any charters running trips right now? Also, I do not have a group of people to go with, so it is just me- are there ways for a solo fisherman to go on a trip without having to necessarily pay for, say, a 6 person charter? Excuse my ignorance on the topic, as I have never been on a charter trip, as I said before. I appreciate any help you may have for me. Thanks.
I recently moved to New Orleans and am trying to get in on some duck hunting. I have done plenty of duck hunting the the Basin, but now I live here with no boat. Every time I drive in on Interstate, I see the railroad tracks just south of I10. I know theres a guide levee there and recently have seen some trucks parked there in early morning. Does anyone have any information on this area? I assume these trucks are duck hunting due to the kennels in the back, but I could be wrong. I would just like to be able to go out on my own even without my boat. If this is a legal area, what is usually seen in this area? Thanks for any advice, it is fun being new
