I was there in 2000 we arrived 3 days before the attack on the USS Cole. Saudi sucks the money is good. If you military like I was, you have no choice. If you have a choice to me if the money's good take it if not Saudi blows....Desert Desert Desert.... if you got allergies it sucks you are very high, humidity not like around here there temps get in 120's sometimes but not as humid in my opinion. there 120's are our 95's. Vegas is hotter, see if you can go there instead. LOLuvvzz. Becareful have fun, by rugs, and culture way different haircuts were $3.00 when I went and that included neck massage, but living in a gas mask sucks.

A comment titled: Power pole best thing since sliced bread, LOVE IT!!! in response to a report titled: POWER POLE

$250 normal atmost with a remote $590 plus tax. I got a sponsorsed one just had to pay install. Add a switch to front of boat $20 instead of remote much cheaper looking at $320 at most 3 hour job. If you plan on keeping boat I reccommend mount to hull, if its a sponsorsed boat you trade each year get the bracket. I have been in boat with the bracket boat sways alot more in tough winds. My boat it is mounted to the hull , no sh^t, my boat doe not move barely. I have a 19ft. Century with a 150 Yammy, 8ft power pole love it. would never own another boat without it.

A comment titled: Tim Tim Tim in response to a report titled: Is a Walkaround just a boat with a big Trunk in the front???

I though we talked about this at the boat show, I'm gonna go against what I'm not suppose to say but you better off buying a used boat or demo couple years old. Market's down nows not the time for new. Classifieds, its a buyers a market not a sellers I got 2 houses right now trying to sell one it ain't easy, and I would definelty go with a center console. you plan on fishing or staying warm or getting out of the sun, that ain't no friggin fishing boat that a banana with cap on the front, get a fishing boat man, that's a toy.. And don't buy a trophy. You need a man's boat brother.

Launch all the way to the right is free works fine, easy access water pretty clean would not recommend launch anything bigger than 24-25 ft. though use the Dock if boat is bigger.

A comment titled: Gulps, Great for redfish tourney's #1 , pros may not tell in response to a report titled: Berkley Gulp?

ya, but ever since gulp came out, it brought a whole new meaning to redfish tourney's I personally think a rule should be in redfish tourney's where they aren't allowed makes it to easy. I'm a hybrid, saltwater assassin and Dudley man for trout when jigging but that's just me.
A gulp will put trout in the box, but not over live shrimp sorry, don't buy it.

They do work, but for a $1 a piece and they smelly aggravating to mess with, find the fish read the ambush points, drop offs, washouts, oyster beds and throw any plastic at them, learn to work each bait present your bait properly have confindence in your lure and you will catch fish. Always.

My motto you wanna learn a bait buy one bag of bait bring a couple of jig heads and that bait bag only ONLY fish all day by the end of the day being its the only lure you have on the boat you will learn to have confindence in it and catch fish, and not spend $1 on a lure that shrivels up after about 6 hours.

Pure Fishing offers great stuff they do. But its just like any other bait just alot more expensive.

A comment titled: Saltaholic is right in response to a report titled: Corkys

Pat Murray, Chester Moore, they live fishing Corky's as do the rest of the Texan's I would call Paul or make the drive to Houston he doesn't like to ship them, go to his house get some he has a website, LAanglar can advise you of this. corky's or like no other. I had a few before the storm the slow sinking corky's are great you don't have to work them much like a regular topwater they are amazing you can bendum mush em whatever, sometime the trout will hit them just on a slow sink sitting there. I would not settle for a knock off when it comes to Corky's the Texas wader's that's all they fish. That's a fact. Corky's are great lures.

Nice Fish though, how old 3 days. Salty's was bigger. Changes weight, shows old fish, catches in pond WTF. But however nice fish just take picture before he's been on ice a few days. He would look bigger. Did you actaully catch him YOURSELF, or did Salty's give his fish to you after a week. Yah just never knows these days.

Not to be rude, please don't take offense fish just looks old and partially defrosted. Just my 02 cents I maybe wrong.

Nice campground though.

Buffalo Theory
This is credited to an episode of Cheers in which Cliff explains to Norm the 'Buffalo Theory':

"Well you see, Norm, it's like this... A herd of buffalo can only move as fast as the slowest buffalo and when the herd is hunted, it is the slowest and weakest ones at the back that are killed first. This natural selection is good for the herd as a whole, because the general speed and health of the whole group keeps improving by the regular killing of the weakest members. In much the same way, the human brain can only operate as fast as the slowest brain cells. Now, as we know, excessive drinking of alcohol kills brain cells. But naturally, it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first. In this way, regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine. And that, Norm, is why you always feel smarter after a few beers."

Not I.... Gary Z and consider that offfensive, you see its the ones that down me for whatever reason when I just a made a valid point, did not say I was a no it all. brother.

Good to see ya, what has it been, about 17 years you still look the same height and weight. Glad to see my buddy. Take it easy teach that young man, about the outdoors I have a 10 year old little girl she won't even walk on the grass without shoes, but I love her to death, I try to toughen her up every now and then, we slammed the reds and trout one day in petes about 3 months ago just her and I, she was catching um but would not go near them so I had camera out and when whe turn her head I laid an 18" in red in her lap, I though she was gonna kill me but I took the picture quick, she hasn't been fishing with me since don't know why.....

I would not invite either one, they have charters to do, but Dudley is a Charter Captain he can't fish the Star cup accept in the Captain's division, and he did take the Charter's captain's cup for specks last year or the year before.

My point was a whole lot of big trout come out of Lake P. that are never reported. And Dudley catches a whole lot of big trout and never reoprts them its not about bragging rights to Dudley its about the passion for his lake he lives to fish, all these lake are great. Venice is by far has the biggest trout That's a fact.... your right off the river, There is no comparison on the amount of big trout amount of reds or whatever. Venice fishing Capitol of the world.......... However Laguna madre very good, Florida very big trout there but you have to deal with very high pressures year round which make the fish more finicky.

I was by no means calling out Poe or Dudley, my point was just that alot of trout over 10lbs are caught each year and just not reported. There are not many people in this world that are the nicest most compassionate as is Dudley.
