With all the recent flooding the past year I am curious as to whether this may affect the spread of Chinese carp populations in lousiana. Has anyone witnessed a problem in our waterways?

My friend you have purchased a potential bag ofsnakes. Depending on how old the bonded title is 3.5 yrs. Expires and you can patition ms. For permanent or regular title if no one claims trailer in that time other than bond holder. Hummm. I dont understand why ms. Dmv didnt explain this to you. The bond may not be over the 3.5 yrs. yet to get the permanent or regular title. Im not a lawyer but it sounds like this guy u purchased it from found the trailer somewhere and not owning it originally, put a bonded title on it and then sold it to you. See.. If he owned it and lost the title he could have just petitioned for a lost title in ms. But not being the original owner that wouldnt work. My question is how old is the bonded title?

That was a good report and we all thankyou for the info. I have wondered about the hermine storm water and how it would affect hopedale. I noticed the last couple times there recently there were no nats. Seems the nats and fish bite in hopedale go together. Got a recent report from a friend who said short rocks were working a little. And the heat goes on. Where is fall temps. 🍦

Lt. Col. West as a fellow black vet I get what you are saying. Why cant most blacks in this country cant get past the victum mentality. Most blacks vote democrat and get nothing for it but more entitlements which only serve to further hinder progress of blacks and the country as a whole. Sir I truly hope some day we have an opportunity to meet. Do you fish? I love it. Are you the same Col. West I see on Shan Hanity?

You are correct. The government gives nothing back once taken. When was the last time you saw taxes lowered.

No familiar with any of those areas. But as to what to use to catch them...reds bite on everything from dead and live shrimp cracked crab and lures of many types . specs are about the same but live shrimp under a cork will be your easiest. If you know how to work a lure like a finess or duddley you can do well. Both fish are pretty much all over south lousiana in salt water. More prevalent in some areas than others. Give it a try and good luck.

Assuming fresh water submersion its quite simple. Disassembly dry then clean with gun cleaner light gun oil and reassemble. Same for stock but light linseed on stock. If salt water I cant honestly say. Good luck

The rest of the country is very much aware as to what lousiana is going through. Many of my people live in all parts of the country. They have all called me to see if i am ok. This is not just an event covered by locals. I have even heard them mention it on the Olympic coverage. Now how that translates into help remains to be seen. But they are definitely aware.

I think its money. Why are not more heavely traveled water ways not linef with rocks to prevent costal errosion. Like the hopedale to breton sound area. I have seen this small channel get 75 foot wider in just 2 years from all the boat activity. I know rocks on the opposite side of the roadway would stop this errosion dead in its tracks. Is it as simple as no money?

I have fished ponchatrain for gars for many years. Unfortunately the monsters come out at night. Not the enviornment to expose kids and gar fish. A friend of mine told me a story where he caught a 9 footer one night by accident. When he got it near his boat the fish came out of the water and got his hand. Luckey he had his service revolver. I thought it was just an old fish story until he showed me the pics. He almost lost his had to infection. Gars are nothing to triffle with. Never trust them to be dead if they still have a head.

The earliest way i ve caught them is in the spring and early summer. Usually after rains and bar ditches are filled leading to larger bodies of water. You can see them if you are still. Just take a black hoop net and have at it. Its a slow business but it works. And yes traps work also. I was just never that patient. To hot in summer.

Hi Ive used penns for the last 10 years. I fish almost every day because I have lake ponchatrain 300 ft from my house. Penn has just come out with a combination of penn reel and 7 foot rod that is the most balanced combination I have used in my life. I picked mine up at Hook and Line on paris rd. In chalmette. I loved the thing so much i went back and purchased 2 more.
Oh! Get this 100 percent guaranteed no matter what you do to it. HEAVEN! I have atleast 15 different rod and reels. Unless im doing a 30lb redfish thing back to back in grand isle...I use this penn combo on everything. You ll love it.😘

The limit on reds and specs are fine as they are. I dont always make the limit on either. So to change it would only occasionally help me. I did nt know there was a limit on white trout? Must be new. As for flounders? Ive only been able to catch them consistantly at somewhere like grand isle. Limits are fine where they are.

If you are going to fish mrgo just drive to hopedale. Breton sound and dave yourself a long boat trip. Fish the mrgo rocks and kill the reds and trout. I like large sheephead myself. Extremely tasty fish when fileted. The marsh around breton sound has great specks also. The people at the marina are fantastic
The most friendly people you would ever want to meet.
