Hunted with 3 friends Sunday, killed 8 specks and one snow
does anyone have any recommendations on where to buy 4 wheeler tires? i am looking for the best price on some super swamper vampires, but i will consider other tires for a better price if the tread is just as good. i use it strictly for rice field hunting, not tearing up mud holes. its a honda fourtrax 300 4x4. im in SWLA but has a friend in the baton rouge area and my dad goes to lafyette for work a lot so anywhere not to far off I10 from lake charles to baton rouge would be considered
what a great day for geese.... hunted with the Tadlock, and Perry group this a.m. Birds DECOYED very well. ended up with limits of specks and 30 blues/snows, and a geenhead. Geese are really using our farms good this year. To hunt with us, call 337-304-9230....thanks!!!!
Hunted Mr. Tom Henning this morning with his son Grant, and a friend. 4 man limit of specks and 1 snow at 8 a.m. specks are still on a string over here, 2nd split is gonna be on fire!!!! to book with us call 337-304-9230. thanks~~~
Hunted with the Becnaud group this morning. the birds were good to us. I do know, without a doubt, i had the prettiest hunter hunting with specklebelly hunting club this morning. Also had a birtday boy with us that killed his first band, awesome shooting Cade. Thanks to you guys a Louisiana way of life lives on. thanks again ~~~~
went juggin in the mermentau by lowry. we caught 16. we didnt find the fish until about an hour before the trip was over. if we would have found them earlier we could have easily doubled our catch. nothing really big, but all good size to eat. here is a pic of the biggest
my dad russell(of specklebelly hunting club) went out of town this weekend with my little brother deer huntin but i stayed behind to hunt geese. im glad i did, 2 more bands! me and my 2 buddies killed our 3 man limit of dark geese(we had one canadian which was banded) plus 3 eagleheads. we were expecting a little fog this morning for another snow massacre, but no fog but we still managed to get one group in. glad to see my friend dave got his first band, a speck, but steven didnt have as much luck. that makes 5 bands in the past 2 hunts out of the same blind
had a fun, but very short speck hunt this morning. limited out at 6:49 am. one bunch lit about 20 yards from the blind and we opened up on em. dropped our 4 man limit right there! hey duck enticer, there are birds everywhere by where you said your blind is
i took my girlfriend on an afternoon hunt in klondike. killed my 2 specks at about 5 pm. after seeing how pretty specks work, she wanted to stay and kill more and she now wants to get her a license and hunt them with me. i had to tell her that was my limit though and we had to go. she has to wait til next year for her hunter education though. left em flyin
not many teal on our farms south of welsh so we got an invite to go with a friend south of iowa. limited with 9 people by 8:15. one of the birds was banded. my dogs 3rd hunt. she did great today. teal sure are good in a gravy
i would like to know if there are any wma's that offer any waterfowl hunts for our older sportsman here in louisiana? i think that cameron prairie, and lacassine does that. is there any other wma's out ther that offer any waterfowl hunts for our older sportsman? i know that we're lucky to have alot of public land hunting, but lets face it, it's very tough hunting. what happens when our bodies will not allow us to go through the harsh conditions out there when we get in our late 50's or more? are we simply suppose to just stop doing something we've done and enjoyed all our lives, or do we go anyway and then end up dead from a heart attack or somehing like that. I'm just wondering if we can put aside some easy access property on these public land places for our older sportsman. would like to see DU or DELTA WATERFOWL put some moey into a project like that. i'm not trying to come down on any particular place out there, i just want to see these guys catch a break, one day it will be us!!! any info on wma's that have this sort of program would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance.
want to know if any one has any experience deer hunting in Sanderson, Tx. the place we have leased is supposed to have mule deer and white tail. just looking for any help. WAY TO GO L. S. U. AWSOME JOB!

just wanted to share this great picture with everybody. also i am by no way claiming i killed these. i had nothing to do with this hunt. my cousin and his friends killed these birds in the basin swamp. i was unfortunately not there. have no clue any specific details either because i am not familiar with that area. i just thought this was a cool picture being it was a pretty strap and the best outboard ever made. i have a mega too so im happy about that
made a fun speck hunt with some friends in welsh in the fog. ended up with 15 specks 2 blues 2 snows 2 eagleheads and 1 ross goose. hunted out of our new layout blinds (christmas presents) and had some close shots. definately funner to me the huntin out of pits. that fog and cloud cover made for a dark day, we could not pick out the generals. every group we shot into, we managed to drop nothing but the juvies! kinda disappointing but still fun. one of the blues tried to lite where my layout was! very cool to see him about 3 foot over my head. definately will remember this hunt forever, just wish my dad wasnt bein a lightweight and bein sick. nah he has the flu but i think when he saw our strap it worked better than medicine
Me and a buddy made a hunt in welsh this mornin. specks didnt want to come to the spread of snow and blue decoys but we managed to get a couple. We ended with 2 specks, 5 eagle heads, 6 snows, 1 ross goose, 1 greenhead, and 1 pintail hen. had a lot of fun
how did everyone do in lacassine? i didnt hunt there saturday because i went goose hunting in welsh but my buddies hunted and killed 8. i hunted this morning and killed one greenhead. no ducks! didnt talk to anyone who saw a lot of birds. anyone do any good either day?
Saturday was a good hunt in lacassine. after a rough boat ride due to heavy rain and having to stop and bail out the boat, we came out with good numbers. 5 of us hunted and come out with 27 birds. mostly teal, few greys, few mottled ducks, few spoonies, and 1 greenhead(if i remember right, will post picture later) should have had our 30 but we were down to 4 guns. buddy decided to get a cheap automatic and it bit his ass all mornin. after about the 6th shot with a brand new gun, that POS tri-star broke into pieces. left at 9 cuz i had to be at work. we didnt hunt sunday. teal sure are good in a gravy
