That hunt was on a lease close to the Atchafalaya Delta. There’s a good population of rabbits in that area.

Looks to me like a speckle trout/ bluefish mix, but he'd definitely be lost in Morganza

I think 100% of people who eat big bass do not care if their fish die when they hit the ice in the ice chest.

And oh yeah, I fish a whole lot of tournaments and I would say 98% of tournament fisherman take every possible precaution to keep their fish alive.

You can fish in the hunting areas after 12. The entire area between Main Pass and Rapheal pass is the sanctuary. This is where you cannot be during duck season. Try reading this. Center Column. 2nd paragraph.

Check your facts. The duck hunting areas within the delta national wildlife reserve are closed untill noon to fishing. The DELTA DUCK area is not a duck hunting area. This area is a sanctuary for the ducks to be able to safely winter. This area is completely off limits to all activities except navigating the naturally cut bodies of water passing through the area. The area is closed to the public during the state waterfowl season.

The delta duck area is completely off limits during duck season, and the game wardens have been giving tickets.

Read my post. I never said anything about keeping or releasing fish. I am simply refering to the people who beleive that human beings cannot affect a bass population. As far as I can tell, these guys are legal, so good for them.

JB, You are wasting your breath talking to these people. Thats why I dont post on here much anymore. Most of these people are morons. To say that people cannot hurt the bass population, is beyond stupid. Keep what yall want guys, but don't come on here and say that people cant hurt the bass population. This topic just keeps proving how dumb most folks from South LA really are.

A comment titled: Research in response to a report titled: Catch and Release

You will probably not find anything else that says catch and release is a bad thing. But I bet you can find hundreds of articles on the positive effects of catch and release. I am in college now and have taken 4 years of biology classes and will take 2 more to complete my masters working with largemouth bass. However, NO degree is required to know that catch and release is extremeley beneficial. And as stated before, you cannot compare studies done in other areas to our waters. Please find something from these waters that supports your theory.

Where was that study conducted? I cant find it on your link. Other areas across the country are not like Louisiana, especially South Louisiana. With nothing but shallow water in this area, nearly all females find the deeper water right before they are ready to spawn. Anglers know this and they know where the fish are at. Sure, keeping 1 female will not hurt anything, but when there are guys going everyday keeping everything they catch, it does add up, and you better believe it can hurt the fishery. Not sure where you are from, but lake cataouachie is the perfect example of this. There are a few big girls left in there, but it is nothing like it was a couple years ago, and this is almost exclusively because people kept all the big fish they caught in there. To say that keeping spawning fish can not hurt the fishery is an ignorant statement in my opinion, and I have seen first hand the damage it can cause.

What are you trying to say? So if a person releases a big female, it wont live or spawn or ever be able to be caught again? Dude, when a big female goes in the icechest, there is a 100% chance that bass will never ever spawn or be caught again. Not sure what you are trying to disprove, but it is a FACT that a dead bass can never spawn again and a live one has a pretty good chance.

Some people just cant do that. You are wasting your time talking to these people about that. You will only get bashed here for a comment like that. I've been trying to preach that to people for years, but it will not change anyone's opinion.

I wasnt refering to this topic. I was refering to topics in the past where people got rediculed for not wanting the entire world to know where the ducks were. This topic just proves why more people should keep there mouth shut.

A comment titled: Hypocrites in response to a report titled: Tearing Up Blinds!!

Well I would have to say that this site is full of a bunch of hypocrites. Yall moan and complain when someone comes on here and asks that yall dont posts reports about the wax, and yall ridicule the guy telling him its public water and who cares how many people go hunting there. Now yall are on here complaining about the idiots out there destroying yall blinds. Half of these morons are probably the same guys that get on this site to see when the wax has ducks. They dont post on here, they are just lurkers. The more yall promote how good the wax is, the more idiots that are gonna go out there. When a guy gets on here and asks yall not to post about the wax or another area, yall flood the board telling him he's not a sportsman and so on. Well I say BS. A true sportsman will put time into scouting and finding the best area, and be able to feel good about it when he kills in that area. Only going hunting or fishing when you get a 'good' report doesnt make you a true sportsman in my opinion. Guess what I'm trying to say is, its ok to keep your mouth closed every now and then. Bragging on here will lead to more people in your area.
