What does the Save Louisiana Coalition have to say about the article on the sediment diversions? Are they for it or against it. I know they are against large scale diversions but these are a sediment diversions that i think would really benefit the region. Its as natural as can be compared to the natural flooding that took place before the levees. Just looking for opinions and opinions of the Coalition themselves.

With all this talk about the park taking over the water way at bayou segnette, what is going to happen to the bassmaster classic if they cant launch at segnette? The whole reason they come here is becuase they have a big nice launch and it not that far from the dome. they sure as hell wont be launching at pier 90.

I thought last weekend that it was over for me but i couldnt resist so here are the final numbers. 29 hunts, 264 Ducks, 294 poodoo. Not going to give out the ducks by species as we killed 16 diffrent species of ducks this season. Cant complain about the whole season but only 89 ducks came from the first split so the second split was good to me. Here are the pics of the last three days of the season

January 25, 2010 at 3:55pm

Few More since the season is almost over. Ending with 244 ducks, 244 poodoo in 27 hunts

January 19, 2010 at 10:22am

Just a few of the hunts I made this year

ive kept them in an ice chest for over a week. Keep good ice on them and plug open. You don't want them to sit in water.

i didn't really care for it. $15 parking and two adult tickets had me out of pocket $35 before I even went in. Now I think my opinion derives from loving the sportsman show at Lamar Dixon. So much open room over there and so many more vendors and boats. I think if this was the only show then my opinion would change but for now ill just stick to going to lamar Dixon In the spring.

I did not see much, if any food. that department I cant help with.

also try grey duck bay on the far eastern edge of PAC. it is southwest of catfish lake and east of billiot. Catfish lake is another great area.

you can easily make it out to lake barre to fish the rigs and islands in that area for trout. matrix shad with chartreuse colors fishing tandem. or live cocohoes under a cork or Carolina rigged

what are you looking to catch? great places to start would be lake tambour, bay billiot and even out to lake barre. As far as getting stuck well that's just part of it. one of the best things to do is to hire a guide to learn a little of the area. Its well worth the $500 or so that it will cost. You will learn more in that one day than you will in weeks or months of going alone. But I know that's not easy for everyone.

also going across to PAC kayak rentals and talking to mr eddie will help. He is easy to talk to and very knowledgable.

Dude for that amount of money you can pick up a way better rig. Theres plenty of Rangers or blazer boats or a blackjack out there for that price. why go with something that has even the possibility of something cracking? And yes I have heard of the transom cracking as well. I wouldn't want that in the back of my head at all!

June 15, 2017 at 7:30am

that's what I thought you meant. Man that's a lot of shrimp but I can understand your reasoning. Thank you

May 11, 2017 at 11:59am

what do you mean by 'new live bait number is 75 per person minimum?'

Danno,

you can buy them yes. An easy thing to do would be to buy one and examine it so you can tie them yourself. They are fairly simple but not so simple to type out the entire process. I typically keep my baits 14' apart or so. A simple overhand not twice with 20lb mono leader will suffice.

piece and quiet or PEACE and quiet?

March 23, 2017 at 6:22am

3000 acre property in the northern bayou black area and the snails have absolutely destroyed it. Havent had grass in 3 years. Its a shame.

On the other hand I hunted a place in the copasaw sunday and we saw 10s of thousands flying high and we managed 37 between 3 blinds.

November 14, 2016 at 1:41pm

ok for some reason, I did not see that you hunted last year. Seems like one of the only options ( that I can think of) is just to limit how much you go into this particular area. That means try to not going in there to check cameras, feed.

October 13, 2016 at 8:13am

Is this the first year you are hunting this area? There is a very good chance that you will start to see these deer in the daylight once it finally gets colder. These deer live in a harsh environment so coming out at night is probably just the norm during the summer and fall.

As far as feed goes, soybeans will be a good choice for you so that the deer have a chance to get to it. Coons eat soybeans but not as much as they eat corn.

Another thing to help you see more deer during the day would be to limit going into that area if you don't have to and hunting the right wind. Hunting a certain spot everyday puts a lot of pressure on the deer and they can sense that. Pick your days to hunt and you should get something this year. Hope this helps

Xpress bay boats have been known over the last few years to crack down the middle of the hull (weld seem) if you fish any type of rough water. Have you looked into a custom built boat?

The only two cons are the aluminum is lighter weight so it wont break the waves as good and it can be 'loud' during rough water and any time you hit something in the boat.

The pros are that they can be virtually indestructible. If you get one built to exactly what you want, then you have a boat for a lifetime!

The first deer looks like he could be 3.5 years old. The next looks to be a very nice 1.5 but could very well be 2.5. the last deer looks to be a 2.5 year old. Very nice deer you have there!

these are my OPINIONS. Looking forward to others responses
