After reading the articles from Josh Chauvin about Hog hunting WMA's during small game seasons with Shotguns loaded with BB sized Tungsten rounds and i thought about giving it a shot. My question becomes, what choke sizes can i use for these rounds? Is it safe to assume any steel compatible choke can shoot these rounds? Otherwise does anyone have experience with these rounds? If so, what choke do you use and what kind of range do you see with them? Naturally i will pattern the gun but if anyone can get me started on the topic i would appreciate it! thank you.
I hope i didnt step on any toes but i like both sources. As someone new to the area im looking for all the info i can get, and it only helps me that the other source is more specific to my location. Also with all the charter guides using this for advertising, it can be hard to get useful info if thats what you are looking for, though the reports are interesting none the less. Hope this helps! And good luck out there!
If you are looking for another Forum, I have been liking the North shore Fishing Forum. I normally browse the lake Pontchartrain/ Lake Borgne section since my boat is in slidell, but it seems like an active site and they dont allow charters to post. These two sites together has been good to me so far but i am new to the area so ive just started learning the ropes.
Also i agree that theres no substitute for time on the water but im grateful to anyone who helps point me in the right direction!
