I saw the report on the front page about the blue frogs and didn't realize how rare they are. We have caught several over the years around Louisiana. One night we caught 3 blue frogs around henderson area. If we would have know how rare they were we may have got them mounted instead of turning them into fried frog legs. Here's a couple pics of our blue frogs. In the pic of the frogs on the table, there's a blue frog in the back right corner and 2 in the second row all the way to the left.

We have a bowfishing trip planned with Southern style bowfishing down in Venice in a couple weeks. I was wondering if anybody has ever been with these guys and if it was the trip?
I figured I would post some pics of a deer I shot this year with my bow on opening day. The shot was a little far forward then I would of liked but I am still amazed of how this deer survived. I shot him on the evening of opening day and I knew it was a little far forward so I waited 3 hours before trailing him. After around 125 yards of trailing good blood we ended up jumping him. So we backed off and waiting until the next morning. We only found a few drops of blood the next morning from where we jumped him. I was sick to my stomach figuring he ran off a died and I wouldnt ever find him. I was in disbelief the next time I checked my camera. These pictures are from 2 days after I shot him eating out of the same pile of rice bran that I shot him off of! I got over 20 pictures of this deer every night within a week until I moved the camera. He looked to be healing fairly well. I hope he made it through the season!
Here are a few ducks my buddies killed over the past few weekends. The first one is a albino greenwing teal that was mixed in with a flock of bluewings killed in pecan island. The second looks like a mix between a greenwing and a bluewing it was also killed in pecan island. The last one is a mix between a woodduck and a mallard.
I know this is probably a lost cause but this post gives me a little hope. I left my waders and the Grand River boat launch this morning by the truck. They are the super tuff lacrosse size 11 waders. Thanks for any help. My number is 225-315-4242
Help!!!
My buddy left his gun at the grand river landing this morning while loading up the boat. It is a camo mossberg in a camo floating case. I know the chances are slim of finding the gun but I figured it's worth a try. If anyone finds it please call Alan at 225-287-5003.
I saw a post where somebody said that Elmers Island was closed to fishing, is this true? Is the marsh along the side of the road still open to fish?
I have been hearing that they have closed some areas along the coast for fishing. I was thinking about making a trip out of dularge maybe to last island or some of the closer rigs before the oil really messes things up. Anyone have an idea if fishing is still open out there.
Thanks guys. Yea it was a great time for everyone. The only thing that could have made it better was if the elk would have cooperated
I was at Jugs marina this past weekend and saw a airboat at the launch with Airboat Charters on the side. The capt's name was John. I talked to him for awhile and he seemed like a nice guy. He said hes been fishing that area for a many of years.
Check out Josh Aucoins line of crawfish pots and burners in the classifieds section. Search Crawfish cookers or Outlaw Fab or google it and you can find his website. He makes some fine equipment.
I watched waterdog and read 10 minute retriever. I found waterdog was OK but the book 10 minute retriever was a great training aid. I hate reading but this book wasent bad a all. It gives you different scenarios of how your dog may react at certain commands and tells you what to do to correct it.
Whats the benefit of using a 1oz bank sinker compared to a 1oz egg sinker when putting it on a carolina rig. Does it really make a difference in the type of weight as long as its 1oz?
Bump
Thanks for the information guys
Return them to academy. If they sell them there they will let you exchange them. Just tell them you just got them a couple months ago and they broke.

Call Josh at 225-485-8434 he lives off River Road. He should be able to help you out.

Yea marshrat is correct. You can call LDWF and they will give you permission to retrieve your animal. Technically you dont even need your neighbors permission to cross but that would probably be your best bet.
Deffinately a moccasin... KIll him!!!
10 minute retriever is a great step by step book. I used it with great success
I would call CSC on airline. They spray armadillo liner. They do a really good job. Call Keith 225-802-6208 and tell him Joey sent you and you might cut you a deal?

My buddy is selling 88 acres of managed property with a 2 acre stocked pond. It is across the street from the forest. He is selling the property as is with the camp, tractors, bad boy buggy, etc. You should give him a call his number is 337-580-6574. He can tell you everything you need to know!!
I shoot the SBEII and I can tell you from experience all inertia guns have a pop. I love my gun and wouldnt trade it for any other but if your looking for a gun with less recoil, I would look at the gas guns like the beretta A400. I have shot my friends a few times and it kicks noticably less than my SBEII. The only downfall of a gas gun is they usually dirty up faster since all the gases are staying in the gun compared the inertia gun where the gases come out when the gun ejects the spent shell. I have also shot the new A5 and it has a pretty good pop to it similar to the benelli's. If I was to buy another gun for the sake of less recoil, I would for sure pick up the new Beretta A400. Its a sweet shooting gun but just to bulky for my taste. Hope this helps in your decision.
