Rigolets marina :
Headed out this morning amongst the threat of storms. But we heard about specks being caught so we went out and gave it our best.
Found a few small guys. Just one keeper made it into the box today.
Nonetheless, we are excited to see the trout returning!
Has anyone had any luck with finding the specs yet? We had a real good day on them at grand isle over the weekend. Wondering if they are running around the shell beach area yet.
I am new to this forum, and relatively new to kayak fishing in general. I have a very cheap entry level fishing kayak that is great for short trips but it is time to upgrade. There is just not enough room to get out there with the proper gear.
There are several boats that interest me, but I thought I would lean on this forum for a couple opinions before I pull the trigger.
It looks like the Hobie ProAngler is an awesome product and I see a lot of fishermen using these.
I have a little experience with jackson kayaks from whitewater kayaking and they are great boats. They have a very nice setup as well.
I don't know if I need a foot driven kayak. I think it would be a nice luxury, but a necessity?
I plan to mostly fish the marshes for redfish, and perhaps some bass fishing.
Thanks for any input!
