Wanting to bring the wife and kids down to the beach for a weekend camping trip. I need to know if I can drive on the beach and pitch a tent on elmers island? Or if not on elmers island where can I? Preferably on the western side of the island. Any advice would be appreciated..... also I plan on bringing my boat along and putting in at the Irvin p melancon landing and heading east down the main channle to fish the marsh and pipe line canals on the north side of the beach. Never fished the area before but a co worker told me to check it out. Has any body else had any luck there lately. If so what's biting ? Have the specs moved in yet ? Thanks
How has the bite been on specs and reds at the atchafalya delta? Making a trip out there this Sunday
Has any one fished the four league bay area lately ? Making a trip this weekend and was wondering how the bite has been for reds and specks
Yea I just saw that and then I see this... so I guess it would be a gamble. Is any body from the area that could tell me how strictly it\'s enforced ? Also how far to the west does the elmers beach property go? because I\'m thinking about just going in by boat on the north side of the beach
Okay thanks. What about camping over night ?
That's awesome ! I didnt do as good as you by far but we still had a good time. My wife caught 2 nice reds. One 25 inch and the other 26. Down in mosquito bayou. And the next day we fished the south west side of halter island and caught 10 reds only 4 keepers though. It was kinda slow for us. I'm gonna head down to dularge this weekend hopefully ill do a little better this time
How did ya do ?
I hope so too. Maybe I'll see ya out there
Thanks for the reply man ! What were you using for bait ?.... What about in the marsh east of four league bay ? Like around lost lake. I heard they're doing pretty good in lake mechant but I'm not looking to go that far in.
Thanks man. I think I got a plan together. The map shows that the elmers property line only goes one mile west of the access road. I'm just Gonna pull my boat up to the back side of the beach on the other side of their property line
