Guys I am looking for a hunting club to join for the 09/10 season. Must be within 1 hour of Opelousas. I am looing for a place that I can deer hunt on and if there are any turkeys that will be a bonus. I would like to keep the yearly dues under $1000. Thanks in advance for all your help.
I shoot the Hornady 117 grain btsp. I switched several years ago from the Remington 120 gr soft points and could not be any happier. I have tried both the light mags and the customs. The light mags are a little hotter and have a little more recoil but if they are for a young one or your wife try the customs. Personally I like the light mags but was well pleased with the customs when I shot them. Also, I tried the ballistic silvertips and had a hard time blood trailing due to the lack of a complete pass through. The inside of the deer looked like a hand granade went off in them but there was no exit wound so the tracking was difficult.
