Snap shot of the long term problem WE have. As I said in a previous post, these pockets will look like water ways in the matter of months.
1st pic:
June 26, 2011 Pic
As you can see the grass is brown and dying. This was taken during the summer time and the grass should be green.
2nd pic:
Dec. 22, 2011
It looks like something came in with the tide and settled in the middle. The grass on the edge lived because whatever came in was washed/diluted with the tide coming in and out.
How can BP possibly make this right! These pictures were taken in the Fourchon area but this is spread throughout the southern marsh. The first Pic was taken Sept. 15, 2011. As you can see the grass is dead. Six month later after Hurricane Lee the marsh is gone. Hurricane Lee was nothing more the high tides that carried the dead grass off. I have been through many stronger hurricanes including Katrina and Rita that didnt do this type of damage. The next time you drive down LA 1 or on the new bridge, look at the marsh and youll notice large brown patches of dead spots. Oil or dispersants sat in these pocket and killed the vegetation. The sad thing is that the spots will be completely gone within the next couple of month. Every time I see BPs commercial, It turns my stomach and to the local sellouts that took the money to make the commercials. I hope you can sleep night!!!
Just cant ask for a better day. On the water with the family, clean, calm water and plenty of fish. If the video works, listen to little brother harass his old brother about is gaffing ability.
Pic from the 8 o'clock feather weight fight would not download, Here's the 10 o'clock heavy weight. I have pics of six diferent bucks fighting in the same spot. The only problem is everthing is at night.
What about this one. Any idea what it is?
Don't worry about this problem! We will take care of this in as little as 3 years. Just be patient with us and we will have 80 % of the rigs removed and take away the habitat so it will match our statistics.
Thanks for being patient .
RoyECrabtree HIIC.
I posted this last year. At that time less the half of the rig in the Bay Marchand were gone. I sure by now they have cleaned house on the remaining. This Field is just east of the Pickets.
I too have been trying to reduce my hog invasion, so I looked at a couple clips on u-tube, bought 6 snares for about 12 buck on the internet. I put only one out over night. Not thinking this was going to work, I tied it to a small pine tree only 3 to 4 inches in diameter. I was quite surprised the next morning that I didnt have a hog running away with my tree. He was 180 pounds. He tore up everything around the tree and was dead leaning up against the tree looking like he was alive. It scared the Sh*T out of when I walked up.
The budget of 10s of millions, is that your companys budget or is that the state/Fed monies?
I'm bringing 6 young girls out there sat for their summer bucket list. Help a brother out. Were they caught on plastic or live? East Tem. By the rocks or Casse-tet.
Enter him in the Jeff Fest rodeo. Kid 13 and under have 10 places. Trophies and prizes. Last year 1 thought 10 received poles in each division.
Are yall on BPs payroll (deerhunter1234/cajunhopperv2) 1st it was I would like to see a pic of that spot before April 2010 to make any judgement. Im not asking you to make a judgment on this. WTFDUTUR. There are no piles of grass in those pics. I am down there quit a bit and claim to be an avid sportsman and conservationist. I have been a camp owner down there since the 80ss and have never seen anything like this. The whole reason I took the pics back then is b/c I could tell something was wrong! When have you ever seen a large plot of dead grass during the summer when it should be green and healthy?
Your other point is obvious to us WACK JOBS. The marsh has been disappearing for decades. REALLY!! Salt water intrusion in Fouchon! WOW! I think that happens every day in that area. I realize we need diversions and other restoration project. Thats not what my agenda is about! Im simply showing a small snap shot of what is happening!
To Cajunhopperv2:
Ill have to look up some older pic. I took these pic when I noticed the dying grass in the summer time. Look closer and youll see its not piled up. I have pic of piled up grass after hurricane Lee raked up other sections of deed marsh. This is just a small snap shot of the problem WE have in Louisiana. We thought we were losing marshland b/f, WELL this has speed it up tremendously!

So I am confused. Are you looking to join a club / land owner and give them free consulting in order to hunt that property? You first post looks like you want to join and the last post looks like you just do it for the love of the outdoors.
