I should have posted this a while back, but I want to thank the gentleman who assisted me out of the water at the launch when i slipped off of my truck. I did black out, so i do not know exactly how I broke the 4 ribs, but I am sure I hit the dock during the fall.
It was Nov 30th that the incident happened, so if that was you....Thank you!!!!
Hopefully in a couple of weeks I will be able to try this again with much better results, this non fishing is killing me!
Another quick limit of specs today. They were not in the same spot as last trip, but once I located them it was over and done in 2.5 hours.
Once again, I need to thank Hayden for giving out some awesome information........
Thanks to some good info from Hayden Harper, I was able to kill them yesterday.
It has been awhile since I was able to put a limit in the box, but that is what happened yesterday.
Finally hit a good day on the lake, changed up from the trestles to the shore of lake borgne. got a total of 16 trout from 13.5 inches to 4lbs 13oz.
Missed 3 very nice trout at the boat, need to get me someone to net the fish!!!
The trout sure attacked the shrimp, missed many hits lost some at the boat and the box still looked nice!
Went solo Friday morning and the bite was steady between Specks and Reds. Fished near Unknown pass again and it has done me well. 37 trout and 7 reds the last two trips. Caught some real nice sized ones Friday and when I was getting ready to leave the battery said NO, your staying longer!!
Called SEA TOW and Capt Christian was out there shortly to give me a jump before the wife made it home!!!!
Going again tomorrow morning, but with a charged battery. lol
Tried a few spots today before hitting Lake St. Catherines, should have started out there this morning. Finished the day with 23 trout between 12.5 and 18 inches and 5 reds all at 17 inches. Caught all fish using live shrimp 2' under a poping cork.
After a very hard day fishing on Sunday in the Geaux Coastal Tourney, it was great to have a fun day catching today instead of fishing!!
Took my youngest son out Sunday morning and had a fun time battling the fog on the way out, talk about thick!
Started out with 5 nice trout about 14 inches and 1 nice red...and then nothing. Moved around to a number of spots and only picked up two more trout.
Wish I could have saved this red for the tournament on Saturday, might have had a chance!!
