'Fishing for Erin' Benefit Fishing Tournament
I have a couple of buddies that are putting together a benefit fishing tournament Saturday June 11th at Joe's Landing. The tournament is to help raise money for Erin Crossin Grenon to cover some of the medical expenses she acquired after being involved in an accident at her home.
They will have a 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place categories:
Bull Red, Redfish under 27', Specked Trout and Black Drum.
Right now the the prizes for each category will be a plaque for each position:
1st Place: $300 Gift Card to Academy
2nd Place: Calcutta reel
3rd Place: Hand Held GPS.
The red fish with the most spots will win a free Trolling Motor.
They are also selling $10 raffle tickets. The winner doesn't need to be present at the time of drawing.

We started off our frogging season monday night in Lafitte, after everything was said and done we came home with 126 frogs.
We had a fun day in Lafitte yesterday morning. We started the morning off trying to put a few trout in the boat but with the strong winds, dirty water and only catching one keeper trout we decided to after Mr. Redfish we ended our day with a limit of redfish by 11:30 all of the redfish fell victim to a variety of baits, Glow/Chartreuse Tail Salt Water Assassin, Gulp shrimp and Dead Shrimp.

Yesterdays total in Lafiite: 10 redfish, 1 spec. and 1 sheephead home by 11:00 a.m.
We had a productive day in Lafitte. 3 of us ended up with 12 redfish, 22 trout and 6 drum all the fish fell victim to the Berkley Gulp Shrimp under a cork.
Another productive windy day in Laffite, fished some ponds in the Little Lake area. 3 man total 15 redfish and 6 trout and home by 12:00.
What a windy day in Lafiite today, but we ended putting a few fish in the boat. 2 man total 9 redfish, 5 specks and 2 drum.
We had a fun weekend in Lafitte. We started off Friday night catching a few frogs. Then Saturday morning we hit the open water and came back with a limit of redfish and 5 specks. Louisiana is a sportsman Paradise!!!
Me and my dad had a productive day yesterday in Lafiite. We end our day with 8 redfish, 5 black drum, 2 flounders and 11 specks. We fished from Little Lake to Barataria Bay. All these fish fell victim to Berkley Saltwater Gulp Shrimp. This was my first time using them and it will not be the last.
Just got this one back from Dee Dee over the weekend. It's my favorite duck mount to date.
