I need a little advice.... I've fished the leeville area for the last 15 years but have never made it as far north as catfish lake. Have a trip planned there with my son and son-n-law. We only have 2 days to fish and from my past experience at leeville it sometimes take longer to find and/or figure out what the fish want. Note: we will be in a 17'prodrive,sold bay boat. Ive given plenty of advice to many a fisherman in the past and hope it can make its full circle. Sooo... I'm asking for a little help. I don't want your favorite or your hot spots, just a little help, pointed in the right direction.
The middle of the lake?
The north end? Deep? Shallow? Canals are better? Live or plastics?Any hazards ?? Thanks in advance.
Can a Nikon prostaff scope handle the recall of a .444 Marlin??? Thanks...
recently purchased a H&R.444 marlin that has a prostaff on it and need to know if it will handle the kick of a crack barrel that size.
I've heard good things about Miller's lake sac-a-lait fishing. I've also never fished it before either. Can an anyone tell me the truth......? When does the sac-a-lait start biting?? And is it worth a 1 1/2 hour drive? I'm not a greedy man... Only like to have about 15-20 nice fish put a little bend in my ole jig pole. Thanks for your patience and any info. Good luck wherever you fish and please stay safe.
PS. I'm not asking for your fishing spot..... just the truth.
What a day. Beautiful morning. Plenty of ducks. They were working to the call. We didn't have to hurry and get our limit. Could've been some by 7am easy but waited and had a quality hunt. Was able to pick and choose the birds we wanted. Then the last bird to finish my limit was a true Black Duck. First ever in 30 years of waterfowl hunting.
