Figured I'd share a few photos; Just returned from a hunting Safari in the Limpopo region of South Africa with Cruiser Safaris....trip of a lifetime, 3 animals will be in the SCI record book. Spent 7 days hunting and a couple of days looking at other stuff, including a national park with elephants and such.
Just put the finishing touches on a european mount....first one I've done.....I plan on doing an African trip in the future, will probably do the same with most of those to cut cost.... not too bad for 1st timer heh?

Just returned from Quebec today, I took this bear on Monday.
It was about 200lbs, it sure looked alot bigger on the ground pawing a tree. The other guy from the states I was hunting with, from upstate New york, took a bear about the same size after the bear repeatedly tried to enter the ground box blind he was hunting. At one point in time he and the guide were actually pushing the window closed because the bear was trying to open it with his paw. Another guy in our group took nice bear about 350 lbs. This is the first time I have ever hunted big game on the ground in close proximity and it sure is exiting.

Hey tuffhuntin, I assure you this is legit, thats why I placed the contact information right in the post. This charity has been around for over 30 years. They are completely operated on a volunteer basis, meaning no one gets paid for their services. All the benifits go to making a child's wish possible. Only children living in Louisiana or receiving long-term medical treatment in Louisiana are eligible for consideration. If you have any other concerns, please email me and I can put you in touch with some people who would be very happy to tell you more about what this great organization does for children in Luisiana.
Honestly, they were the toughest of all animals to hunt....we tried for four days, they are extremely spooky, and I had them in the scope many times before it was the right circumstances to pull trigger. AS far as the meat, it all gets consumed, I hadn't tried any zebra when I was there but would have, I did eat allot of other venison from multiple game.
Thats a burchels or plains zebra, very neat pattern. I did not hunt any birds but saw tons of franklin, dove, and gunea fowl, Next trip I'll only bring one rifle and pack a shotgun....plenty of birds!
More pictures, same hunt
Ed-Dularge used to do good work in Labadeville. I used to have tha same gun and changed ejectors, extractors, etc....its a POS...I'LL never own another one
Ive owned a couple of these old engines, I think its solenoid shift, start there....gear sets or at least dogs wear often...don't spend allot of money on it...it will be neverending battle. Go to a marine hardware store, buy 60 ft of 1/2 nylon rope, attach engine to one end and a brightly painted 8' bouy to other with a quick snap.....dump entire rig overboad at favorite fishing hole.
James Kendrick.....I like them too...
I hung up my euro mount and then on the opposing wall put up a few duck prints which had yet to make it up there since last DU banquet..... So I now have one wall with way too many prints and my ole lady isn't happy with my decorating.....I sip on a nice makers and tell her it could be worse...she shut up because she knows just how tacky I'm capable of!! I have actually loaned a bunch of prints to friends and family after they got divorced.....if you are a bachelor, your home should be a representation of YOUR tastes!!

Made by CRKT, nice knive, and I love the gut hook....
I beleive it set me back about $60...I bought mine while working in AK
I noticed that too...I didn't use bleach however....I beleive it happened when I did a peroxide soak afterwords. I taped off the bases but some soaked through..... Any suggestions for next time.. Some one told me you can use peroxide solution from hair care supply store and just brush it on instead of soaking.
Are you sure its gear lube...
if its black and sludgy...could be a build up of 2 stroke oil mixed with exhaust.....I had a tohatsu that would do this...used to mix my oil a little heavy....
Does the tranny oil look milky?...if its clean you may not have a leak
Deer probably 2 1/2 yr old maybe trhee..... rack should be better... possibly bad genetics.... your rifle/bow the ultimate management tool... big body small rack..I'd say.. tamales, sausage, hamburger
Some people get it .. some don't....
Deer management is ultimately up to the individual. Do you want to shoot any deer.. or quality deer? That is your choice, YOU have to pull the trigger. If you don't then that deer lives another day. Does it really matter what weapon is used and when? Lets quit the arguing and just try to enjoy this sport?
If you guys want to complain.. check out west...WA state.. you have to choose a single weapon, and which side the state you are gonna hunt, and a one week season on rifle.
We are extremely lucky to live in a place where hunting rights are liberal...management..well that's your choice
That's a river shrimp...they make it to bayous on occasion but they are usually a freshwater species. I think they start in estuaries but migrate up the Mississippi River to spawn. We used to catch a few trawling near Cocodri years ago. I've seen similar river prawns in freshwater rivers in the tropics.
