For those that are shrimping, please let us know where you are located so we can help at this time. I cannot seem to find locations of sellers that are fresh off the boat. We all want fresh shrimp and not the ones that roadside vendors Clorox from time to time. Not every does this but I was burned recently and it nearly cost me a new refrigerator. As a veteran I want to help. I will not purchase from local groceries due to excessive mark up. Thank for the effort you are putting forth in these difficult times.

It happens each year about this time gentleman and ladies on the sportsman. People are out to obtain your personal information for the purpose of locating confidentiality information concerning you. It is a shame but I must warn you that by giving your name and address to someone you do not know is all they need to begin the process of identity theft. It happened to me this past week and I have removed my adds due to this. Any one by the name of Jose Dial is trying to obtain the is information by stating that he needs this to complete the paperwork. This is bogus. There is no paperwork on most of the items unless DMV or Wildlife and Fisheries is involved. Do not give this information out. Also, on a hunting lease, be sure to verify this person is the original land owner and he is not sub leasing. This is taking place on the Stephen Landry estate outside of Baldwin, Louisiana and the person subleasing does not have the authority for that estate. Anyone that is caught on that property will be prosecuted and the game agent for that area has been notified. The agent will be making routine inspections in this area. Please verify your hunting options and as always, I hope that you have a safe and success filled season this year. Hoping to see your pictures and read your stories. I would appreciate if you take the time to describe your hunt and especially if you are teaching children to enjoy the outdoors. Louisiana Revised Statutes Tit. 14, § 63. Criminal trespass A. No person shall enter any structure, watercraft, or movable owned by another without express, legal, or implied authorization. B. (1) No person shall enter upon immovable property owned by another without express, legal, or implied authorization. (2) For purposes of this Subsection, the phrase “enter upon immovable property” as used in this Subsection, in addition to its common meaning, signification, and connotation, shall include the operation of an unmanned aircraft system as defined by R.S. 14:337 in the air space over immovable property owned by another with the intent to conduct surveillance of the property or of any individual lawfully on the property. (3) The provisions of Paragraph (1) of this Subsection shall not apply to any person operating an unmanned aircraft system in compliance with federal law or Federal Aviation Administration regulations or authorization. C. (1) No person shall remain in or upon property, movable or immovable, owned by another without express, legal, or implied authorization. (5) In addition to the foregoing penalties, and notwithstanding any other law to the contrary, a person convicted under this Section who has killed or otherwise misappropriated any wildlife, as defined by R.S. 56:8 , in the course of commission of the offense shall forfeit the misappropriated wildlife to the law enforcement authority, and shall be ordered to pay the value of the misappropriated wildlife into the Conservation Fund of the Department of Wildlife and Fisheries in accordance with R.S. 56:40.1 et seq.  The value of the wildlife that was misappropriated shall be determined by the guidelines adopted by the Wildlife and Fisheries Commission pursuant to R.S. 56:40.2 .

All that are on the Sportsman. There are several girls that are have been posting scam ads now for at least 4 months. It was bad enough that they are trying to conduct theft by fraudulent means, but they have now increased there criminal activity into infecting your computer. This has started in the last week. If you try to report their add as scam it places viruses on your computer. If you do not have a good virus protection you will be in trouble.
I do not understand why the people who run this website(Sportsman) will not put an end to this. I have contacted them several times and received no response. All it takes is obtaining the IP address and turning this over to Law Enforcement. There is plenty of people out there that would be glad to testify.
It is always the same email address but different contact names. As of this posting all, I will be signing off for good. Best of Luck!
YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

January 31, 2018 at 4:20pm

I have tried to sell several weapons on this site. Each time they are listed and I receive calls about them, the person cannot pass a background check. To those selling weapons you may want to use caution. If the weapon is traceable back to the owner, you may be looking at partial responsibility. If any honest person is interested you may email me and I will give you the number then.
Like the duck hunting, our world is changing. Take it from an old hunter that remembers how good we once had it. I truly enjoy each of the stories that I read. At this time in my life it is all I have. I have all of you to thank for the memories. An Old Hunter

First, file a police report with local authorities, give serial numbers, and start checking the pawn shops in the area. You may never see this again. There is a very strong underground weapons sales that is offering top dollar for weapons that cannot be traced.

Today is a special day not only for Veterans but also for every hardworking American. I am a Veteran and I want to thank you for bringing me home, furnishing my meals, buying my uniform, supplying my ammunition, and training me. I only hope that I was worthy of the tax dollars you paid while working. You are my hero Working American. Sergeant United States Marine Task Force Delta Nam Phong

First how far from the bank is it sitting. Second slide some PVC pipe pieces under the bottom if you can get them to go under. The more pieces the better it will be. Ok, get your buddies in the rear and push while you get a boat hooked on the front. You may have to pull from one side to the other a little to get it moving. Wiggle and pray to Our Lord Jesus for mercy and strength. Hope this works for you my friend.

The reason why we do not have a rock barrier is simple-we continue to elect people that promise to do what the voter's are asking for and once in office a miracle occurs and they do not know you or what they promised. When we learn to hold them accountable by exposing their misguided attitude then we might obtain what was promised. I have made a lot of enemies but I will stand against the best for what is right. It is your money that is being wasted. We can change by not allowing this continue. The math will reveal the waste of dollars spent on sand and if you dig deep enough I am sure some relative owns a sand company and trucking service. It is time to expose this for the good of our coastal areas and seafood industry.

There is a metal acid that is sold at hardware stores that is sprayed on the rust. When dry you will see a white film in some areas. Wipe clean and spray with commercial grade customer paint. Once a year and you should be fine. Remember to rinse your trailer very well when you return home. Hope this helps. I just did my new utility trailer.

If someone would look at Texas in Brazoria County, they beefed up the coast with huge rocks. The project took several years due to the size of these rocks. An 18 wheeler could only haul two at the time. The problem was solved and coastal erosion is down to a minimum. Of course no politics were involved. Your tax dollars at work.

I agree with Mandevillian. Great job my friend and at 67 years old I am trying to find me one like that to do a little fishing again. Agent Orange almost wiped my old behind out the last 5 years. You will be very happy with the project and not like some that have to have a $50,000 boat to fish in. I sure would like to know how that $1100 a pound fish taste when they eat it as opposed to yours. If anyone has tasted the expensive fish, please let me know the difference. Been fishing on the Basin since I was 13 years old in a 12 foot Monark with a 9.8 Merc. Drag that baby anywhere you want to go. Maybe one day I will get to wet a line again. The Swamplizard

I would like to add a comment in hopes that it does not damage anyone's feelings. The problem is not so much in what you do as to who you come in contact with. Being a military veteran this hits home to me after seeing the experiments that were carried out on us by other countries. Please American, take this seriously. What you have not thought about is a over taxed medical system trying to save those that are contagious. Doctors and Nurses have put in tireless hours to help us through all of this. If your are injured or hurt seriously there may be no space available for you in a medical facility. At best you are beginning to see make shift hospitals set up in convention centers. These are combat situations and you will be put in combat environments. Enjoy and be careful, slow down just a little on throttle, and please good judgement on the bottle. In Ascension Parish we dealing with the millennials characteristics where no one wants to follow the rules. Kids are still grouping together, kid riding off road equipment with no protection, adults riding golf carts drinking beer with babies in their arms, and motorcycles being ridden with no helmets. We can give thanks to a Sheriff's Department that refuses to enforce the laws of this state. If any of the above mentioned were injured, the doctor's and nurses would not look kindly on this situation. Oh, forgot one thing--the ice cream truck riding around causing these groups of kids to all mingle in a close environment and where are the parents??? The driver of that truck could be spreading Covid to all of our kids--great !!@!@!! Enjoy your trips--Please American you were valuable to me while in the military and we need people to step up for what is right before we destroy this country. When take a bite of that fish--think of me (Agent Orange exposed) and very sick today.

That my friend is known as Assault-when you threaten someone and intend to do bodily harm. Should have got the numbers off the boat and a description of the two and called the Game Agents immediately. There is not place for that in the outdoors. If you do not report them, the next time will be exactly the same or worse. I do not get into verbal confrontations with anyone, record it on your phone, take pictures, and make the call. IF you do not stand for what is right, then the ignorant will decide what the educated do.

Yes Sir! The criminal element is always lurking to take someone\'s money. Last year several hunters were taken for $3000 and $1000 for leases that did not exist. No only did they lose money, the land owner was kind enough to let them go with out getting law enforcement and the game agents involved. \r\nAlso, some of these hunters are removing posted signs and using the excuse that it was not posted. Depending on where you are it is not necessary to post the property because you know it is not yours to hunt on. Also, with the technology of game cameras that are usually set up to catch this activity, then you have just added another charge to the already other charges you have collected.\r\nIt does take some time to validate the information for the property, but it is well worth it. I wish there was an easier way but the land owners are getting tired of damage, destruction to equipment, and out right disrespect for their land. Always be considerate--it goes a long way.....Check in and Check out with the land owner--does mean a lot. Also, when dealing with estates--owner member of the estate cannot speak for the other members and assume responsibility. The entire estate ownership has to be in agreement for hunting to take place. From what I have seen and dealt with, this is an impossible situation when dealing with 80 heirs in an estate.

And the politicians are style lying about people leaving Louisiana. Sixty-six years old and leaving where I was born and raised because of this. We no longer have a State for the citizens. It has become the septic tank of America where taxes are reevaluated because the entity is broke but you get nothing for the increase in money. My taxes have increase (3) times the amount in (13) years. Hell, I will be paying the parish rent just to keep my home. Bye Bye Louisiana and all of the corruption..........Oh, the Lawyers as well!!!!!!

Mam, First I am so sorry that you have to deal with this after losing your husband. I was 13 years old when my father died and I watched the buzzards try to pick my Mom apart. I must admit at times I was not the most pleasant teenager that one of these useless individuals had to deal with. Every time I came home my mother was crying because they held her hostage again...Thank God my dad placed all of his bills and canceled checks in lard cans. We would sit for hours looking for the check that covered my father's dealings. As a grown man and a former State Trooper, I worked for years to insure that Louisiana citizens would not get ripped of their hard earned money. Only do business face to face and cash only. Prior releasing the item go to the bank first and have the bills validated. With modern computers they print money very easily. Do not respond to any deals like you mentioned. One thing that I have picked up on is their screen name will only be hours old. Most of these are using prison computers with girl friends at the ready to begin stealing your information. I hope that you have better times ahead Mam.

I once lived in that area. Baldwin. When I was a young man I fished out of Meyette Point and went to the Amarada Oil Fields. My dad died when I was young and this gave some enjoyment in tough times. 12 foot 32 inch bottom and a 9.8 Merc. Barely made it up the channel.
Thank you Sir for the help.

I want to thank you for the kind words. In our society things have changed. People do not trust the enforcement people and the enforcement people do not trust the public. When you are stopped today these enforcement people are so nervous you could not drive a needle in the behind with a jack hammer. Where and when did this all begin? I can tell you, the news media that paints a picture with a broad brush that makes people in America look at each other differently. I enjoyed my job mainly because I did get to visit with some pretty nice people. I got to work on their cars and trucks, change flats, bring them water or drinks when they were stranded, and most of all do what the people who paid my salary expected-serve. Often when a citation had to be issued I could tell it was uncomfortable for them. I always explained to them that you are not a bad person and do not feel that way. It is your habits that have become a little rusty and if WE do not fix this, I may be going to your residence to give a death notification. Our job is first and foremost to save the lives of the people in this state. By the time we finished, we shook hands and I asked if there was anything that I could do for them. We never left angry and always respected one another. Look at it this way--how much would you pay to learn something at a college--$300 or $400 per course. A citation is an educational lesson in behavior modification that can save your life. This to me is priceless. So, if one of your family members receives a citation, do not explode into anger. Understand, they were just educated for about $50 to $100 and will be around to enjoy life with you.
Thank you all and most of all, I do hope that your day is better each time you go fishing or hunting. Enjoy the natural resources of this state and never take it for granted.

Without a photograph Id, you will probably not be able to obtain a Louisiana Resident License. At best you may be able to purchase an out of state limited day fishing license, maybe. Why might I ask that you do not have an id with a picture? Do you realize how limited any services will be for you.

Sir, I would like to respond to your message. As a Veteran I have come to understand that I can no longer enjoy the things that I once did. Respect has left, morals have left, and the me first attitude has entered the picture. No one is left to teach young men and women to be sportsman. I quit hunting several years ago after nearly being shot by a careless hunter. I would not like to think of what may have happened if this would have continued. As far as fishing, I do not have the money to purchase an expensive boat that would even create a wake that large. I am currently trying to find an 8hp motor and a little 10 or 12 foot boat to enjoy the final days of my life. Since I was exposed to Agent Orange and cannot obtain any help from the VA, I do the best I can with young doctors experimenting with different medications. I do not want to hear the thank you's from young adults who have no idea about American value but have listened to sound bites from the news and think this is cool.

Please read the following and understand what a Veteran truly feels about American.
A Message from this Veteran:

Sergeant—United States Marine Corps
Nam Phong Provence
1973 Task Force Delta

Please do not be offended in any way by the comments to follow , but it is you that I need to thank. I am so sorry that the news media has misaligned the American public with their comments. You and every hard working tax payer are the ones we need to thank. If you did not work, did not pay your taxes, and support our country we would have no military and no police department. As a young man I often had thoughts on those many lonely nights what single mother, what father was tired but putting in the time so I could do what you paid and trained me to do. We are Americans and what we do together makes all of the difference in the world. You may not realize it, but the one person working that extra hour may have just purchased the extra ammunition that was needed to complete a mission. You may have purchased the meal that I ate that night even though it came out of a box, I never went hungry. Yes, you bought my boots, my uniform, my weapon, and you also paid for my training. I only hope that I was worthy of your time. I was twice meritoriously promoted, twice awarded Marine of the month and did my best to make all of you proud.

After this I came home and was met with a very harsh reception. I tried for seven long years to become a Louisiana State Trooper because I felt I needed to continue to take care of our citizens. Finally I was selected to the academy. I was elected class president and graduated with several awards. Who do I have to thank for this, YOU and everyone that pays their taxes. You spent $33,000 for my education so I could pursue my lifelong dream. I did my best and like most enjoyed my job for a salary of $348.00 clear every two weeks. I did not complain for I knew that Louisiana deserved the best and I can only apologize for what you are reading today about the State Police today. That is definitely not who we are. So with all of this said, thank you for a job well done and allowing me do what I did best-serve.
