Hey guys! I'm looking to get a rifle of mine re-blued and would like some input on where to bring it. I'm located in the Lafayette area and the job seems to cost alot more than I was anticipating. I wouldn't be scared to try the do it yourself kit but I have seen a few friends try it with little luck. If anyone knows of somebody on the side that wouldn't charge me an arm and a leg or even just give me the confidence boost I need to try myself, let me hear it. Thanks!

Hey guys! I'm looking to buy a good adjustable pedestal to put a butt seat on to bass fish with. I have read a bunch of reviews and most of the ones I have found don't seem last long. I don't want to spend $90 and have the thing go out after a few trips. I know some of you guys have found one that works and lasts. Please shed some light on this situation. Thanks!!!

Hey guys, my ole mans looking to buy a new stainless .444 for muzzle loader hunting I know knight went out of business and H&R doesn't make one anymore, so who does? He'd love to use his Encore and buy a barrel but of course that's not legal in La yet so have to go the other route! Any thoughts are appreciated!

Hey guys, I have a friend with an Xpress who wants to do some prop tuning. Only one problem, his rpm gauge isn't working. I've never really messed with one but I'm really good with working on stuff. Any ideas on something simple that could be wrong with it or should I just go ahead and change the whole gauge out for him? Thanks in advance!

Hey guys I'm thinking about buying a hand control 24v trolling motor and wondering what y'alls opinions are on the motor guide varimax bow mount motor. I looked at the minn kota's too but their handles don't extend. I know comparing motor guide to minn Kota is like gmc to chevy, just looking for some opinions from people that have used them are have them. Really can't stand a foot control even though I mostly bass fish. Thanks guys.

Hey guys, I have a good friend that is finally ready to make the move on a mud motor. Now that he's finally ready, he's not sure which one will be the best for him. He'd rather a reverse but isn't a neccessity, knows the gator is belt drive, knows the hassle to flip a pro drive around... If you can please give your opinion or pros and cons especialy if you've had either and or seen them in close up action. Thanks in advance!!!

Hey guys, I was wondering if anybody knows how to change the email address that is setup with the user account. I have looked and tried to figure out where you do this but have come up with no luck. I even tried emailing the webmaster with no response. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Hi, recently heard that they had a guy show up missing somewhere around the sherbune wma. My question is, did they shut down sherbune or is it still open to the public? I would like to make a little fishing trip out there but would hate to go all the way out there and get turned around. Any info would be apreciated, thanks...

Hey guys, I'm currently looking into planning a weekend trip to a lake of some sort. The lake needs to have atleast decent fishing, cabins, maybe a pool for the ladies comming, and can take a little partying. I really don't want to get yelled at by a park ranger because I'm out past the 10:00p.m. curfue. It will kinda be a birthday party trip also so... We have stayed at numerous places all over La, just looking for one thats new to us (been to toledo 100x already). Has to be freshwater and no further than around 3.5hrs from Lafayette. So if you've ever stayed at a place that you really liked, had some good fishing, and some spaced out camps, please let me know! We're just looking to have a good time and catch a few fish! Thanks ya'll!

Hey guys just thought I would pass on a good place to get a patternmaster choke from. This guy is great to deal with, cheaper than any other place I found, free shipping, no tax and it only took three days for delivery! I really like these chokes and know there are others out there that do too so check them out! http://www.griebeloutdoors.com/index_files/Page1261.htm

Are you referring to the east coast mud nats? If so, I am almost positive that it will be held at the normal atv park in Doles, Georgia where it's been for awhile now. Either way it's still fun as he11.

Hey Admiral, wow I didn't even notice the first guy to post was named Emmett! Sorry bout the misunderstanding!

I know hot blue will bond ahell of alot better. Was just seeing if their was a good reliable alternative. Being I guess there is not I guess I will bite the bullet and have it done professionaly!

How about refinishing the stock? It only has one small ding in it other than that just a dull color and a few paint specs. I have a friend who is a carpenter I was thinking of asking him to sand the stock down put a light stain and a coat of clear. The only thing, I don't know how deep the original stain may be. Anybody done this? You guys input helps!

There are a few gun shops around the house that will do it and I trust their work, just not looking to spend what they want. They like to pull my eyes out on their quotes.

Is emerret a namebrand? By cold or hot I guess you mean how it's applied? Thanks for the help so far.

I'm not to worried about her rusting up as I hardly ever fish salt water. I was more worried about it loosing air or gas, whatever they use... Yeah I'm leaning more toward the 24-30' Swivil-Eze one rite now. Just like hearing from people that have them!

A comment titled: Just my opinion... in response to a report titled: Trail Cameras

I would go with an IR camera no matter which brand you choose. One that lights up black as the new ones do are even better as they don't spook the game at all! I have had horrible luck with and Stealth Cam. Leaf River is the worst for being user friendly and with a flash had numerous white outs. Mouiltree makes a great camera for the price and academy carries these all day long (if they have hem in stock). They have a website called Chasin Game and there is also another one that does excellent game camera reviews. Good luck!

What would also work good and not damage or discolor the carpet if it drips onto it? I know bleach will!

A comment titled: Re: in response to a report titled: Bullet Expansion

I know they don't make a whole hell of alot of rounds for the short mags but way more than two. A softer bullet and thinner jacketwill determine how fast it will expand. Normally at the same time you will loose weight retention faster. Do some rearch on cabelas or just another internet site to see what other rounds they offer in your caliber. If you still cant find a good round that groups and mushrooms well look into getting some bullets hand loaded from there.

A comment titled: Re: in response to a report titled: bass and sac fishing??

The bass there aren't really that picky, I don't believe they have a very high percent of florida strain. So most of you common colors in worms, spinners etc... will work. You can catch quite a few right now but dont expect more than one or two that break 14'' bass wise, sac I haven't fooled with. Good luck!

In Lafayette Red Barn on West Gate Rd sells it. Also Chaston Brothers (sp?) somewhere around the oil center has it too. If you have a current sportsman mag the have a whole page ad that will tell you where you can find it too. Good stuff I use the oats every year and love them.

Thanks man. I had actually bought mine through you last year. I know they make them for sports south and they're still out. I had talked with H&R already they don't seem to be in a hurry to make them.

What about a CVA? I saw in my new sportsman today the cva scout was legal in MS. I know those and a few other cva's come in a stainless.

That the exact same gun I have but mines a .444! I doubt he will settle for a .45-70 when his mind is set that it. Thanks for the find though, someone should jump on that!
