As I endorse my check for another three year subscription I'm wondering, why is my money going to Palm Coast Florida and not to the economy of Louisiana, why is a magazine for Louisiana being printed in the state of Florida and not helping the state of Louisiana with JOBS in this state. Ya know, I use on line more than the magazine. just ripped up the check, no renewal from me.
Just picked up my new Pro drive rig from the Pro Drive place in Leaueavill. What a first class operation, their attention to detail was great and service was great. I thank Peck, Brian, KP and the whole staff for the great service. If your looking to get a rig from ProDrive, go to where they make them, meet the crewe, they are all 'Louisiana Sportsman' and the lovely ladies working the office are great too. Overall, it was a first class experience.
Had a good opener with good friends down in Lafitte with Buddy, Doctor Jimmy and Mr Magictilt. If it wasn't for probably the best tasting duck of all (Teal duckz), it would have been slow. Still managed a mallard her, mottle, two 'smilin mallards' and the rest in blue and green wings. Had a great lunch at 'Boutte's'. Now is that the way to top off a great hunt. Now I'm headed to Marksville for some duck and goose shootin (we hope). Everyone enjoy what this State has to offer, and remember, take a kid hunting or fishing, for they are our future
US Army retired, looking for a membership in a club, intrested in waterfowl and small game, don't deer hunt but have no problem working on food plots and stands.
Possibility going to the WAX for the first time, with out stepping on any one, where is a good place to set-up, I have a quick set blind on my rig and can be very mobile.
Looking for the names of some reputable waterfowl guides for field duck and goose hunts or duck flooded timber hunts in central or northern Louisiana.
What have you done for our troops during this time of year. They serve on behalf of us and our way of life. They allow us to say what we feel, and vote the way we feel. As we enjoy family and friends, they are there, away from what they love to insure we can enjoy our way of life. Honor them for they are truely the keepers of peace, selfless, caring and dedcated. God bless them all.
I recieved my copy of the December "sportsman" today and here's an artical on the "Pointe". I agree it's a great place to fish and to hunt, I did both this last week, but the facility is terrible. It's been 4 years since Katrina and the place is terrible. The launch fee is now $10.00 for a back down that sucks, the parking is terrible, the lifts are still not working. With what the place has to offer, and how bad Beshels is, I'll go to Delecroix and come in from there. The place has the potiential to be a great place if some monies were spent. Clean up the backdown, put some lights up, get the lifts working and fix the parking area to accomidate trucks with trailers. There's alot of people that would spend alot of money down there if the place was worth going to. I'm sure they won't miss my $10.00, but they could be making so much more this time of year if they made the place worth going to.
Have you ever wanted to purchase something and wonder how it is made, time spent making the item and the people who make it. Well, living in New Iberia, I went to the place where "Pro Drive" is made for I was looking to go to a surface drive motor.Yes, went to Loreauville to see. What a wonderful experiance, "Peck" and the staff are accomodating and friendly. He'll show you the operation, you see the "folks" building the motors and the pride that is put into their product. The girls in the office are friendly and make you feel at home. When you pick up you're motor, the paperwork is done and your given a complete orientation on your motor. Oh, did I mention the "pups", if you like sweet ole yard dogs, they greet you too, tails waging and happy. It was a good trip and felt not as a costumer, but a friend. If you live close, and are looking to get that surface drive, call "Peck" and mention you'd like to come by and look at their product, you won't be sorry. In fact I brought Miss Beaux my Boykin spaniel with me, she was welcomed too, their all sportsman and know what sportsman demand.
Looking for either a guided hunt or a friendly hunt in either flooded field or timber in centrel or northern louisiana. Don't mind paying a reasonable fee, and may do several hunts during the season.
Looking for a place to duck hunt, older person with mudboat and all the equipment with and old dog too. Very safe and responsible.
