shot a deer at 5:15 pm, couldn't find any blood so decided to go look at first light the next morning, found the the deer 100 yards into the woods, only problem was the hogs had got to it first, they ate all of one hind quarter and half of the other hind, i have never had this happen before, so if u shoot a deer best to recover it asap or the hogs will
OK Bubby, good luck, might see u out there
There's a boat launch on prong road, i was wondering the same thing, probably could find out from the people with camps there. My camper is at river view campground in Vidalia, was thinking about moving it to Three rivers campground, probably go there after the weekend check it out.
Nice buck, i been doing a little hunting up there in Cocodria Bayou
Nice deer congratulation
Thistlewaite has palmettos, so if the squirrels u shoot don't fall dead you'll neaver find them, they run off and you will lose them, good luck I think that will work better for u
like your post, I been hunting Thisalwaite had the same problem shooting squirrels with # 6 lead, switched to 2-3/4 7 1/2 and had a lot better success they fall dead
I agree with capt BOB, i don't see where these animals are good for anything.I'll shoot them every chance i get.
I've been getting surveys in the mail on the number of coyotes/bobcats seen or kill while hunting from the wildlife & fisheries. They also ask how do you think they affect the hunting in your area. It can't be good, i would hate to run into a pack of the coy dogs in the dark with only a bow in my hand.
I've heard that coy dogs is a mix between coyote and domestic dogs and that they are a lot more aggressive.Nice pictures, bad dogs!!!
I hunted thistlewaite hard for about 4 yrs, never seen any bear or bear tracks. But things change they have been logging the woods and i heard peaple have been seeing hog tracks also.
yep not a pretty sight
