3-4 redfish filets 1-1 ½ cups miracle whip Bread crumbs or substitute crushed Ritz Crackers 1 bunch green onions cut up 6 splashes of Worcestershire 1 yellow onion diced 1 bell pepper diced 1 egg Small amount of fish fry Creole seasoning 4-5 capfuls of liquid crab boil Bring water and crab boil to a boil-add whole redfish filets-boil for 2-3 minutes-turn off and let soak for 5 minutes in crab boil and water. Sauté yellow onion and bell pepper in small amount of olive oil . remove fish into a bowl add onions and bell pepper put in fridge to cool for 15-20 minutes. After fish has cooled mix all ingredients in a bowl and mix, careful not to break up fish in too small of pieces. Add enough bread crumbs so that you can form hamburger size patties then coat both sides of patty with fish fry. Place patties in a skillet with small amount of olive oil and fry on medium-medium high heat. Once patties are golden brown on both sides remove and eat I have started to use crushed Ritz Crackers instead of bread crumbs and like it much better.

My 8 year old son, Grant had a great day Saturday evening. This is his first year as a 'shooter'. He made a great 100 yard shot on this nice 8 pt while siiting on my lap. It was one of the best days of my life.
After the short tracking job and high fives and hugs he tells me: 'Dad, I will never forget this day for the rest of my life!'

Neither will I ....Neither will I...

Well My 2 sons enjoyed a successful youth hunt this weekend...Mason was able to tag a nice doe on Saturday morning and Ian tagged a doe on Sunday morning. We were able to see and watch numerous deer on each hunt. We made memories in the stand that we will never forget....

I made a quick afternoon trip to False River yesterday afternoon. I fished from 3:30pm -600pm. I managed to catch 6-13.5 in male bass. All fish were caught on baby brushhog cotton candy color in 6-9ft. of water. Not bad for such a short trip. I believe these male bass were staging pre-spawn. I just couldn't catch any sows.....sorry no pics.. It was a nice afternoon to be out on the water.

A comment titled: staging... in response to a report titled: False River Bass

Capt. John L -what I meant by the male bass staging was that they were starting to arrive at the spawning area. Male bass will show up first at the spawning area...
