Been wanting to scout it but dont know where to start. Do most people hunt right off the river? I know there are some small lakes on it and the greentree but have heard it is hit or miss and highly pressured. Just looking for a little advice on where to start, any help is much appreciated.
It know called Richard Yancey now but the area I am looking into in the old RR WMA. I have been wanting to scout it but really dont know where to start. I know there is a greentree reservoir but it is small and from what I have heard has a lot of pressure and is hit or miss at best. Any advice on where to start. Do most hunt right off the river? Holes back in the woods when they flood? Any help is greatly appreciated.
So looking for a deer lease to get into for next season. Somewhere around the Northshore area. Would like one in the St. Helena area if possible. Have heard of Quail Run but cant find any info on it or a number. Looking for a place that doesn't run dogs and has at least some sort of management in place. Any info is appreciated.
I have a cane farmer that has a big hog problem and was wanting to know if anyone has some hog dogs and want to work them?
Looking for some good public flooded timber hunting, standing if possible. Will drive as far as Ark or Miss.
Need a pirouge bad and soon, Where is there that sells them for a good price, im strapped for cash right now. Or if any one has a used one that they want to sell that would be great.
Thanks
I do most of my hunting in BigB but have been wanting to make a duck hunt in flooded timber in north La. I have heard that Red River Wma and three rivers are good ones. Anyone hunted there, how is it? Thanks.
Does anyone know of any flooded timber to do some duck hunting, I have herd of possible spots in the Pearl WMA and Bogue Chitto WMA. I know that the Pearl has marsh to duck hunt in but i know nothing of the BC. Any info on either place especially the BC would be great. Thank you!
Congrats on the good weekend, I dont check here to often but I do notice yal consistently kill ducks. Just curious give or take where do yal hunt. I see that it is marsh so I am guessing somewhere in SW LA?
Have you been back to IB lately? Have heard it has been really slow all year at least in the timber north of the flats.
What kind of birds are you shooting in there? My buddy has a place in Monteray not to far from Pineville, has some flooded cypress sloughs that we were thinking of trying this year.
Yea me and some buddies planning on going down and hunting some public land. Prob go with a guide the first day down to get the hang. Looking at a couple of different places but most likely will be White River.

Just curious, you have a lease or some family land there?
I have a Paw Paw and love it but I am needing another. I go through some very shallow water some times, is the Chapman that much better in really shallow water?
Was this on public land or a lease?
I agree with the first poster, 3 1/2, give him another year.
Are you from the area? If so do you have any info on some land or a lease in the area you would recommend? Thanks.
To be honest I haven't been back since we went last year. Saw alot of woodies and had one big flock of mallards give us a look over. We were looking for a hole we saw on the internet but couldn't find it and just hunted a slough. I have heard of a couple of guys that hunt the timber and kill good nuber of greenheads but have yet to find a place.
Slick
Have always wanted to try and get a lease or some property over there but have always heard that the area is bad about running dogs and trespassers, what do you think?
I just watched it. That was a big buck to be taken down by two little yotes. I have seen yotes twice there size. Damn cool pictures though.
Its about 20 min outside Laff near Abbeville.
Yea its going to be a cluster, we have a secret spot for sat then taking he boat for Sun. I wouldn't even be going this weekend if it wasn't the only spot me and my lil bros can all go together. As far as the Pearl goes, have been there a couple of times back in the woods. We did I alot of scouting trying to find some mallard holes but never any luck. Anyone ever found any?
Where on the northshore is this if you dont mind me asking.
Were yall hunting in the marsh or back in the sloughs and woods? And yea hunting BigB sat, hopefully the mallards are in there.
The boat looks great man just hope you know that you can not bring a boat actually into BigB. No motorized boat are allowed in the marsh.
Nice haul, were is this, ARK?
