I own piece property in central louisiana that is Red River Delta located a mile off the river. Te contour is flat farmland. The property has a cypress swamp that holds decent woodduck hunting with some greys mixed in. Im considering building a 4 acre rice pond. Anyone ever have any luck hunting a pond like this from a big duck perspective, the Woodducks are a given.

Thought some fellow waterfowlers might have some needed information. I have recently gained access to a 30 acre cypress lake. The water 18-36 with very large cypress trees throughout the property, the property is located a mile off the red river. Was curious if this could be a potential location to catch few crawfish. Is there any specfic location u place your pots or not,and would mullet be a good choice of bait? I borrowed a dz wire traps that are probably app. 30' tall
