First Deer/Bow Kill of the season. Even though its a spike but did weigh 130lbs. Now,
That I have meat in the freezer now its time to wait for the big boy. Shot this deer with a Bowtech Assasin shooting 2' Whitetail Special Grim Reapers. That is the exit hole your looking at in the picture. Needless to say didnt go 30 yds before piling up. Grim Reapers are the way to go and accompenied by nocturnals is always a good touch.
I am currently looking to Stud out my Black Labrador Retriever. His name is LaCosta's Snoop 'Snoop', He is a very large lab weighing around 90lbs. There is nothing fat about him just a very large lab. He is AKC and UKC registered. He was born on 10/28/10 so he just made the 2 year mark. I have his 3 generation pedigree on hand along with all paperwork. This year he worked with Mark Briley of Shotgun Retrievers around the Opelousas, LA area. He attended 4 months training until I got him out to hunt with him this season and he will be returning in Feburary for continuing his training. He has alot of drive and Obedient. If intrested you can give me a call at 337/945/2337......Thanks, Jarrod Romero
I killed my First deer with a Bow up around the Mayflower Arkansas area on private land last week. I have killed a hog before but this was much more of a Adrenaline rush. Even though it was a button buck at 22 yards. Of coarse I thought it was a descent sized doe but i guess being that nervous, you dont really relize. SHot him with a Bowtech Assassin 75# draw with 100gr 2' expanable Grim Reaper Razorcut SS Whitetail Special. I usually kill 2 to 3 deer every year between rifle and muzzleloader and pretty nice deer as well but It felt like my first deer ever.
On 6-28-12, We headed out of Port Fourchon. We were headed out to do tuna fishing but decided to stop at a weed line about 45 miles out and Troll just a bit, it didnt take long to get a couple of Wahoo's. Then we started catching variety of fish Dolphin, Wahoon, even a coupld yellowfin. Had a marlin on for a few seconds. Towards the end of the day we Got or limit of red Snapper. Trip was a Blast. Defintely recommend Capt. Ed Frekey for a charter.
I need a few suggestions on where to bring my lab for training. I live around Lafayette louisiana, and was wondering where in the area is a good place where i can trust the trainers?? Any help would be appreciated.
I recently purchased a H&R 45-70. I am shooting Hornady's 325 grain bullet. I have a Nikon Prostaff 3-9x40 BDC with leupold mounts. It was mounted by Buck Fin and Feathers in broussard, LA.
The scope doesnt seem to move what so ever. I had a scope mounted from them on my 270 and I seen them use loctite and the necessary tools to mount and have no problems with my 270. But anyway i was sighting in and can't seem for it to group at all not even at 50 yards. I wasnt letting the barrel cool at first then started letting it cool about 4-5 minutes between each shot. I shot damn near a whole box of shells before the darkness caught up with me. Any suggestions on why the inconsistancy. How much would a hot barrel throw it off a couple inches are almost a foot??
I am heading to Grand Isle for the weekend. Hoping to catch some trout in the surf. I was plan on hitting elmer's island. Does anyone know if the fishing is good over there?? I heard a they were catching some good trout. Is there any truth to what i'm hearing????
