Evening hunt on December 9th on private land in Concordia Parish between Frogmore and Ferriday. Hunting the edge of a swamp looking down a lane with a slough crossing it. Seen the first deer about 3:30 that afternoon, had 4 small bucks step out into the lane around 4:15, ate and disappeared. 4:45 3 more small bucks stepped out into the lane messed around a little while but kept looking back into the woods along the slough. 5:10 huge body deer stepped out at the edge of the woods, quick check in the binoculars and new immediately he was a shooter. Smoked him at 5:12 ran back down the edge of slough about 15 yards. 254 Lbs. Massive 8-Point.
