A comment titled: Richard K. Yancy in response to a report titled: Lethal hunting stands R.Y. WMA

For many years my friends and I have hunted 'Three Rives'. On many occasions we observed bears. Its truly a blessing to see them, especially if you think back to just a few years ago, the bear population was very thin. I think Maria Davidson is doing a great job with the bear program, and Paul Lemoine is doing a great job keeping Richard K, Yancy up. Thanks for the pictures, I really enjoy showing my children. Good luck and stay safe.. Ps watch the large logs walking in the dark..

A comment titled: Post in response to a report titled: Decline of Sportsman Brotherhood

I have been here on the site for 8 plus years and have seen many come and go because they didn't like the rules and moderation. I have been a part of the LAS team for over 6 years now and am proud to say that. We don't generally pull a post 'just because' we didn't like it or we disagree with it. I am very considerate when I pull a post. Most of the time I will send a warning asking the poster to change it or remove it due to LAS policies. We have policies in place because a post has caused problems such as 'POLITICS'. This site used to be just like huntindog described. We were a huge family then people and times changed. WE see the bashing when someone shoots a deer or catches a fish. YES I REMOVE IT IMMEDIETLY! (as well as the other mods) This is NOT the site for negativity. WE promote a family friendly site. I hear this all the time 'you pulled my post but you didn't pull another one' There is generally a reason for that. I hope to see the site go back to what it used to be, just like sportsman going back to the olden ways where everyone was kind to each other. I have over 80,000 acres of public land where I am from and no matter where I go I find the same issues as huntindog talks about. Lets start a new (old) trend guys and lets start helping each other again. What do we have to loose? Great POST DOG!!

A comment titled: monotec G5 in response to a report titled: CROSSBOW BROADHEADS

I agree with lamplighter. you want a sharp fixed broad head. I shoot the monotec G5. They are awesome. I have seen many 200-250 lb deer go down with these broad heads and you reuse them. The blades stay sharp and are strong they don't bend. just my opinion. JUST NO MECHANICAL.. A cross bow has to much kinetic energy for those, most open upon deployment from the crossbow.

A comment titled: snake in response to a report titled: snake identification?

I think its a diamond back water snake as well, I catch them all the time in my crawfish traps. The easiest way to tell if its poison or not is to look at the eyes. A / or triangular eye is poisionus, a 0 or round eye is not. (This is for louisiana)

A comment titled: Not a problem in response to a report titled: Sad day in America!!

Thats why we are all a team. Believe me I am angry and sad at what happend to these babys! This a time that we should all pull together and become a team. Its going to get worse brother you believe me. Times are changing, people dont teach their kids responsability anymore (some of us still do). Its here is a vidieo game go kill everyone on it. They forget to tell them that this is a game. I could go on with venting but it does no good. I have never felt the way that I felt yesterday. I remember 911, the colombine shootings, but never ever have I felt like this. I could not imagine the Pain these famailes are going through right now. All I can say is may GOD be with them. They have a long road ahead..

I agree Iceman, that is exactly why we have guns to protect us from the government taking over. If anything you are 100 percent correct. They will make it harder to get semi auto wepons and ammo. But we all know that a pump or single shot kills the same way. Criminals will always have weapons, they are criminals they steal them...

A comment titled: JB in response to a report titled: Pearl River WMA interrupted by warden

I never said that your comments were not civil. I was just saying dont let them bring you down to it. There was a few comments that I pulled that would have ticked anyone off. Sorry If I came off the wrong way. It seems that some of the regular guys seem to stir the pot alot. These types of post always get out of control. You guys have a job to do. Some do it more professional than others. I am all for the LDWF and Police officers. Without them we would not have the things that we have today. Thank you for your service..

He didnt bash anyone, he had good points and he was unhappy with the officials that checked him. That is a right buy him to unhappy and his choice to speak to a higher officials about how they were treated. However All of the fighting on this post needs to stop. I will pull all of the fighting and bashing. JB as an official you should know how to act and how to treat others. Thanks for the help on this matter guys.. Have a good day.

A comment titled: blame in response to a report titled: Missing Kayaker

I agree with DREW. Its a damn shame that every time something happens they blame someone else. Apparently this guy was a 'GROWN UP'. He chose to paddle out, if not he could have turned around and went back to the landing. He did this to himself, not the police dept, coast guard, LDFW or the charter captin. WEAR YOUR PFD. Its that simple. How many more drownings do we have to see so that people get it in their thick heads that they save lives. I hope and Prey that this guy is alive. It dont look good. As Chris Holmes said have a Plan and let someone know what it is.

A comment titled: Plots in response to a report titled: Food plots

There is really no seed that does good in flooded areas. Your best bet would be to plant something cheap such as oats, wheat, rye. I would bot spend a fortune on fancy seeds. My place floods alot to. These seeds can usually take water for a day or 2 they they rot on you after that.
