i have a 2000 model (give or take a year) on a 17 foot champion bass boat. can any one tell me if it should be regular or premium gasoline. it hasn't been running good lately. any tips would be appreciated.
i am planning to take my cousin fishing this weekend either at belle river spillway side or maybe bayou corne. anybody been there? what the water looks like and how the fish are biting? thank you for the info!
went to bellerive and fished the spillway today (monday). absoutly no luck, i think too much sun. pretty day, too pretty for the fish. caught a few on buzz baits very early, but not enough to justify the trip. as for as ribbots go, i haven't fished them yet. who sells them and what color is good for the basin? thank you kindly!
what kind of fish are in lake maurapas and diversion canal and the surrounding areas? i can launch out of hilltop inn or st. james boat club landing. just curious as the the water type and fish type!
has anybody been in the spillway since the big rain this week? any clear water, any fish? thank you for your reports!
going to spillway out of belleriver tomorrow! any reports to catch fish?
launched out of bayou pigeon yesterday and did pretty good. i don't have any pitchers, you will have to take my word. we caught 62 huge bream and goggle eye, 7 keeper bass, zero sacolait, and 6 HUGE goo. all goo were in the 4-6 pound range! 'we' included myself and my wife. nothing like trophy goo!
anybody launched out of belleriver lately? i noticed the river going down and wonder if clear water would be hard to find. let me know if you been there or boyou sorrel or piegon.
i went to toledo bend on the 10th, 11th and 12th. the bass were biting good and the sacolait were not. we did catch quite a few bass, some on lizards, jig and pig, but 90% on white hilerbrandt 3/8 ounce spinnerbait. however, the real story was the wind. big huge winds. our biggest bass was in the 4 pound range, however some guy caught one in the 7 and another one in the 9 pound range. good luck!
I went to lake concordia on 03/02/05. The little cool front showed up with me and no fish! The locals informed me the bite has been slow for the last week. Also, I am going to toldeo bend next week, does anybody know the normal water level? I have never been there before and would appreciate any info!
went to lake concordia today and not a bite!(obviously that new doppler system the weather woman has doesn't work too good!) A total of 5 boats in the water and rain and cold weather did us in. I will be going to toledo bend next week and would appreciate and reports on the area.
launched at bayou corn today. as expected, high and muddy water. i did find clear water and still no bites. tried shiners and jigs! still, better than going to work!
