Can anyone recommend a mechanic within a 100 miles of new orleans that does good and reliable work on Mercury 2 strokes?

I have a 05 115hp optimax and my local guy cant figure out the issue. Would prefer someone who doesnt take forever to look at it either. thanks for any help.

Anyone know where to buy bulk soybeans for deer feeders. Something bigger then 65lb sacks. Prefer in or around new orleans up to hattiesburg.

Took our annual snow goose hunt over MG weekend. Managed to take out almost 150 and a banded Blue. We had a blast hunting a spread and some stalks. Good luck to everybody else who's going after them!

Anyone know if bayou Sauvage is open for youth waterfowl this year or if it was only for last year. Looking at bringing nephew on first duck hunt. Would rather bring him to somewhere with less people and better his chances.

This scum is going around Baton Rouge telling people he locked his keys in his car and is 16-17 dollars short from paying pop a lock. Most people give him 20.00 like my sister and 2 friends. Sister got a call this scammer punk was at a local store in BR running the scam on one of the doctors my sister works with. She hauled but down there and got a pick of him in the store then getting into this car with a girl. He has been around perkins rowe, the mall, and other shopping areas. Let your friends and family know not to give the scum any money!

License plate on car says navy and has 3 digits. i blurred them out just in case that would somehow get me in trouble legally.

Ok guys I really dont feel like looking on the louisiana wildlife and fisheries website for public wmas then have to download the map for that wma. Plus use my gas and time to drive out there to the wma. I also dont want to walk and drive my boat around looking at spots to see which ones have duck feed or are actually holding ducks. I was hoping some of you guys on here who already did all this can tell me where exactly to go. I know that its public land so no one technically owns any spot so i dont understand why you cant just tell me where it is. I know that you did all the hard work that it takes to find a good spot on public land but I think its selfish for you not to tell me because you dont own the land, its public. I promise if you tell me that no one will read this and come hunt your spot. I also promise to not come and setup within a 100 yards from you. If you want i do have a gps so you could just privately email me your gps coordinates for a good spot and tell me where and how i should set up in the hole. I think it would just be easier that way. Thanks guys and good luck this season.

If your ad is sold mark it as sold or remove it. Emailed 3 people about stuff for sale and all said sold. lol

Mods should ad a flag option for false ads or sold items.

Alleged LSU fight

August 24, 2011 at 10:09pm

I just wanted to give a heads up to anyone going to Venice that there is a large log in the middle of the river that is not marked. it is in the middle of the river directly west of the southernmost storage tank between cubit's gap/main pass and pilottown with only 12 inches or so of the butt sticking out of the water. apparently the top is stuck in the mud pretty good as it has not moved in a week or so. it probably weighs several tons and is going to hurt someone if they hit it. coordinates are 29 10.7510N 089 15.9950W.

Selling these cans for $9.99 Just spray paint your red snapper to look like mangroves and increase your limit. Works great and supplies are limited!

What model MB is yours? Longtail or surface drive? If its a surface drive is it the mini, hunter, lite, or hyper sport? Just curious.

NO way man that's to much weight and motor for that size boat. You maybe could swing it with a wider boat with tall transom but I cant see a 14x36 working out for you. You might want to call theboatdr in kenner and get his thoughts.

A comment titled: Field position in response to a report titled: Scoutoutdoorgear

Don't get too excited as its not a paying gig. You would just try out products in the field and give feedback. Mostly a position for someone that's a guide and hunting almost everyday of the season. I will let you know when it comes time to get people and if you meet the criteria ill consider it for sure.

A comment titled: Geese in response to a report titled: Conservation Hunt

It was in peach orchard, Ar and a buddy has a lease up there. The thing is we hardly hunted his lease. We mostly rode around looking for geese then got permission to hunt. Most farmers are fine with letting you shoot geese just dont rut up their farm roads.

I use to own a 24 bluewave purebay and in my experience fishing along the coast of grand isle it was an excellent boat. It ran very dry and i never had any issues. To this day it still stands as the best boat ive ever owned.

A comment titled: Mud Buddy in response to a report titled: New mud buddy problem

Ive owned a PDR, MB, and GTR and currently still have my gator-tail. I will say in my experience that hands down Mud Buddy was the best in EVERY way. The only reason Im running a GTR is because I have to have reverse. Ive never had issues with MB customer service but have had issues with both PD and GT. GT has messed up orders for me twice and the lady who handles online orders doesnt have a clue what the heck shes doing. My PDR went through 2 lower units and was a pain in the butt. My GTR sits up way to dang high and has cost me on some scouting trips. My MB also got me through more mud, had a lower profile, and looks like alot more attention to detail was done. Theres a reason you always see MB getting hated on. I personally cant wait to see what the new MB is gonna do and am doing the same thing 'coot' is doing. To each their own but thats my personal experience.

A comment titled: drabbit in response to a report titled: Dogs shot

I think your somewhat missing the point. While you are partially correct it still boils down to keeping your dogs on your own land. This means deer season, rabbit season, duck season, summer, whenever. It boils down to what you do and what you have control over you keep and do on your own land. If I buy land bordering yours and you run dogs on your land that's fine just don't let your actions and choices disrupt my land. Some people work hard to buy or lease land and it pisses me off when i see other peoples animals on my land. Sure it may not be deer season but your dog runs my deer off, spooks my deer, spooks my turkey and is a trespasser. I think most people who run dogs dont care where there dogs run off to because there are currently no consequences and subsequently dont feel the need to police their animals. Maybe some sort of fine for having your dogs on someones private land is in order. Im sure that would make some of these hunters a little more aware of where their dogs are at and try harder to keep them on the land they have permission to hunt on.

A comment titled: shame in response to a report titled: Dogs shot

Not sure what the answer is here but I've been in a position where I've wanted to shoot some damn dogs that 'accidentally went on to my private property'. I just don't have the heart to do that. My experience has shown me that most dog hunters don't care where there dogs run off too and don't take care or treat their dogs like a house pet. Most of them are starved and full of fleas. This story with all the facts sounds more like these guys did it on purpose because they were pissed and used this as a convenient way to get back at the out of towners. It is definitely a problem without a clear solution.
